That is the provocative hypothesis put forward by Danial Greenfield at Sultan Knish. On its face it sounds hyperbolic, but Greenfield makes a rather sober case. You should read it all, but this will give you some of the flavor:

It is out of control. The media feeds the haters appetite everyday with a new batch of food for hate. The hate grows and grows. Now the country is addicted to hate. The music industry can write songs music for hate. In sports the other team is hated and even the country is disrespected. The entertainment business gives the country the finger. In politics the other side is always bad, even if it is good.
Hate running wild throughout the land is hard to stop now.
But it might, and that is enough for me to distrust it. The constitution forbids a standing army. Congress gets around that by funding the standing army with periodic funding.
The “media” should be our first target if shooting starts.
They have been complicit in feeding the hate for this country and its constitution.
The war will be for rule of law and the Constitution.

EXCELLENT summary by Hinderaker of them Greenfield article. This really lays it all out. I hadn’t thought about the concept of the “floating dictatorship” where the Dems control from whatever organizations or part of government t they own at the moment. It is 100% correct.

You want to know what the irony here is? The Left pulled down their own. With all of their relentless bitching and moaning about Russia, these investigations pushed forward. Gotta’ love the retarded Left. Their strongest asset is shooting to hit their feet, missing, and blowing off their f***ing heads.
I think almost all of the unelected departments and agencies as well as many of the other civil service employees are using their regulatory power to attack conservatives. There may come a time when they cross a threshold where the governed citizens throw off the chains by firing their civil servants.
