Meet the Candidate in ‘Hillary and Clinton’ at Second Thought Theatre
NBC DFW ^ | 1/19/2018 | Kimberly Richard

Everyone thinks they know Hillary Clinton. Lucas Hnath’s Hillary and Clinton, now playing at Second Thought Theatre through February 3, re-introduces the famous figure as a woman named Hillary running for president of a country called the United States of America in January 2008 in an alternate universe.

The characters have familiar names, but this play is not about the reviled and revered woman as portrayed in the media.(snip)

“Hopefully, they will relate to her strength and her tenacity and relate to her emotionally. They will relate to her on all those levels and know there’s no one way to be. There’s no right path. There’s no wrong path, as long as you stay true to yourself,” Demerson said. “I hope women walk away knowing that they are enough. That it is okay. Defeat is not demise. Failure is not the end of life. In fact, in a lot of cases, it can be the beginning of life.”

"Barry Nash, as Bill, and Stormi Demerson, as Hillary, in Second Thought Theatre's 'Hillary and Clinton.'"

I wouldn’t even walk across the street to see such nonsense. Let alone pay good money.

"Would've been better as an opera."

"Der Hildabeast."

One of Wagner's lesser-known offerings.

Ever notice how you never see the term “alternate universe” when it comes to how Conservatives view/cope with thing? Only with Liberals.

After a hundred million innocent dead in the twentieth century, no liberal is entitled to the slightest consideration, courtesy, or civility. Liberals should be reviled, abominated, spat upon, even beaten, whenever they have the gall to show their faces in the presence of decent people.

I wrote that about 20 years ago.

So far as I know, not a single leftard has been beaten in the intervening years. Not a single professor, media puke, politician, “activist,” or other enemy of the US has been effectively dissuaded from his war on the Constitution by means of an expertly wielded axe handle.

I hope President Trump can win this thing, because if the country is depending on us for its survival, it’s going down without a single blow struck in its defense.

Ah! Interesting that you should mention her. I saw a documentary about her, and she went to her grave thinking she didn't do anything wrong but was just an "artist". Yet, she was universally reviled as a Hitler enabler. She had talent, but she used it to glorify one of the most evil men in history.

I wonder that the current crop of Hollyweird didn't learn a lesson from her. Talent does not equal integrity or wisdom. When Obama is finally consigned to the dustbin of history, will all his enablers be renounced as well? ((((I sure hope so!)))
