These super cute animals are good enough to eat thanks to a talented mother-of-two who creates incredibly lifelike cake replicas of people's pets.

Hannah Edwards, from London, uses photographs of her clients beloved pets to make the remarkable sponge sculptures which are entirely edible.

The 35-year-old started baking as a way of making money after being made redundant while looking after her two young children and soon discovered her talent for realistic replicas.

Hannah, who runs her own business called The Cake Illusionist, now also travels the world teaching cake sculpting.

Amazing talent...however major YUK factor. Not exactly good for children to be encouraged to cut up the pet cake Only.God knows what horrible thoughts could be generated in a child’s development.

I trust good children to know the difference between chocolate cake and a chocolate lab. Bad children won’t do it at the dinner table. They’ll do it where no one is watching because they know what they do is wrong.

This is pure innocence and to be celebrated, not worried about.

Agree with almost everyone. Glorious art but I would never order one. And if given one, maybe plastic spray and hope that it gets hard and stale enough to eventually make a good door stopper. For the realistic part, I have trouble with Easter chickees. For the art part, I don’t know HOW they eat that White House Christmas cake. But what TALENT!

Okay here’s an enhanced creepy factor about this:

“Some of her regular clients keep the head of the cake in the freezer and only eat the rest”

Missed that! Funny.

Now think how easy it would be if she was making baby doll cakes instead of pups.
