While not a Charlize Theron fan by any stretch of the imagination, I just watched the DVD of this film and since there is not a review of it on FR that I could find, here is my 2 cents--

Charlize Theron is an very good looking woman even as she moves into her 40s and is still sexy as hell!

Now that is a fact unless you are a true blue, blind member of Spanky's Little Rascals "Woman Haters Club" or bat only for the other team.

That said, Ms Theron has expressed political opinions I highly disagree with over the years and her taste in men, Sean Penn particularly, have not endeared her to my heart. However, I have always rated her a pretty good actress, especially her American accent since she reported came to the good old USA with a South African one that was said to be able to grade cheese with--

Her Academy Award winning performance in 2003's Monster did not really impress me but them again, I don't really care for most biographical crime dramas.

Head in the Clouds I though she did a excellent job as the lead, Gilda Bessé, who gives the plot a wicked twist at the end.

Now, we come to Atomic Blonde where she acted the hell out of her role while she literally kicked ass and blew my mind in the fight performances and the stunt cred she showed!

For the first time in many years I replayed the fight scenes over and over again as they were done better than I have ever seen. They were not pure CGI creations and played out in a realistic fashion in that she did not do anything out of true human possibility.

I ever went to youtube and watched Movie Stunt Coordinator Breaks Down 'Atomic Blonde' Fight Scene where the film's stunt coordinator and second unit director Sam Hargrave breaks down every fight scene. Again, very little CGI was involved.

Now the kicker here (pun intended) is the plot. Coming from a 2012 graphic novel and from left leaning Hollywood, the ending would not be lost in any War Film made before they sold their souls to the Democrat Party.

So, if you have not watched Atomic Blonde because of the leftness of Hollywood or Ms Theron, give it a look. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Slutbunny beating up guys twice her size and handling big weapons without strain. What’s not to like?

Gadzooks-- You just wanted to meet her... at a convenient spot for an hour or two of spirited conversation, eh?

Basically movies done so the viewer can imagine the actors doing what it is they seem to be doing.

Charlize Theron like other’s of her ilk make it extremely difficult to let your imagination do that. It’s like seeing someone you know and despise on the screen. She has personally insulted you and now it’s personal. Before their antics you might think they actually believe in something patriotic. Know you know they are acting and you can see it, the spark is gone.

I watched it on a flight from Frankfurt to India on Saturday. My main issue was her continual ability to beat up men physically.

Overall, 6 or 7 out of 10 from me. The plot was cumbersome, but with a decent twist ending that explained some of the leaden plot details.

Now these actors are asking for special tax exemptions. They should be happy that it’s legal to impersonate others.

They are born liars. They are also easily manipulated since that is what a director’s job is, manipulate the emotions of an actor.

Those goons should have simply engaged in some vanilla work-place harassment. It seems no one can stand up to that.

Reminds me of the old song about the short alien who lands on earth...”Take me to your ladder, I’ll see your leader later...”

Charlize is one of my favorite african actresses. Even when I dont like her movies she does seem to give 100% in her roles , unlike some actresses that totally phone in their performances. The movie suffers from having WAY too much plot instead of just focusing on her beating up people. Is basically a cold war female version of John Wick.

In 1953 or there abouts-- I fell for John Wayne's daughter... in Trouble Along the Way played by Sherry Jackson 'cause to my 6-year old eyes she was a babe.

And damn if'n I was... right all along!

BTW 1953's Trouble Along the Way is still the most honest college football film ever made. May be the only one--

I caught this flick with the wife a couple of weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised. Made a Charlize fan out of me for sure.

Yeah. Sick of that kind of crap. It’s outside reality and contributes to all these young women thinking they can hack it in the infantry. If they end up getting into the combat arms in more than the tiny, tiny handful who have, if any have at all, people will die.
