>>This is also the generation who often arent vaccinating at all because they saw something on Oprah that convinced them it isnt necessary.
Yep.
The joys of better psychosis courtesy of TeeVee.
Don't know you've ever seen his show on Fox, but as Greg Gutfeld would say, "Period." Killing the bat was the smart thing to do. Moronic parents, putting not just their son, but others in danger.
I'll bet they are the types of people who chain themselves to trees.
Where was Mom in all of this? Most mothers would have put a stop this insanity immediately.
Unless, is there meth or other drugs involved? "Inquiring minds need to know..."
When my preschoolers and school aged children received their immunization I didn’t fuss about the sting of the injection. I merely said, “You are so lucky to be able to get this. It will protect you from horrible diseases.”
It’s best to put a positive spin on injections.
My ,now 12 year old, granddaughter picked up ,what she thought was a Halloween decoration in her preschool playground. It was a dead bat. Her teacher jumped into action and had her immediately was her hands and called my son and the health department. They took the bat, had it tested and sure enough it was rabid. Emily immediately underwent the series of shots and all turned out fine. She didn’t find the shots to be too bad as they’re now given in the thigh. A little boy ,who was playing with her, also had to be vaccinated because, although he said he hadn’t touched the bat they felt they couldn’t trust what a 4 year old telling them.

I hope he pulls through too. But it is a very grave diagnosis. I think there have only been about a half dozen survivors in all of recorded history.
I believe this is also the cause of the "transgender child" nonsense. "Back in the day," parents with a boy who chose a purple shirt at the store would just have bought the purple shirt and let him wear it, or (if they didn't like purple) said No and bought him a red shirt.
Now, they've seen on "Oprah" or Facebook that liking purple means their son is "really a girl," and they're rewarded for this delusion with lots and lots of attention.
I have a copy of a film that was taken by British doctors in Iran in the 1950’s. It records the death of a shepherd who was bitten by a rabid wolf and was in full-blown rabies. He was literally foaming at the mouth as a dutiful nurse wiped it away with huge wads of cotton. She did not wear gloves. He would snap at her every time the cotton touched his lips. Eventually he stopped breathing and died.
Rabies is not to be trifled with. I hope the poor boy survives.
Amen to that.
This is shameful.
Thumbs up on your critique.
And mega prayers for the kid.
If we could have saved just one bat, wouldn’t it have been worth it?!?

Yep as in 0.00001 percent would not be far off.
I had both sons get surgeries to correct issues including nonexistent tear duct for one and having awful burning fever ear infections from getting a cold for the other. Felt that the kids pain was worth it. Same with potty training the older boy. Taking away his diapers for good got a point across and he stepped up soon after because of how uncomfortable and embarrassing it would be to pee on the floor.
Congrats, dad, you’re a complete idiot.
Sad. I was bitten by a stray dog @ age 6 playing in the yard with my sister. Announcements on radio, ride in police car (first & last) and didn’t find the dog.
I had to have a tetnus shot and rabies shots. Alternated daily, stomach, arm, butt. Saturdays & Sundays. One day I decided I wasn’t going and my Mother had to chase me around the car and my little top got caught on the bushes and ripped. Yep, got my shot that day too.
A little boy had died the week before in Dallas from rabies and as bad as my parents hated seeing me get those shots, they knew they HAD to do it.
And yes, I still hate getting shots to this day or blood drawn but still do it when I have to.
Prayers for the little boy. Sad.
Yes, I remember my Dad telling me they were through the stomach area. Wish I could call him to make sure. (he passed away about a year ago; we talked every day to chat and do the daily Jumble. ) :)
So sorry you had to endure that, Mark. You must live in a rural area. But whatever happened, I’m glad you’re still around! As your family and friends are too. :)
All the best in 2018, FRiend. And please avoid getting bitten by a wild animal this year. ;)

I live in Davao City. It was my own sweet little Chihuahua, twice. Here, you dont mess around with it. You get the shots. Someone said the shots were in the thigh. Mine were in my arm. It was not a big deal at all, just something that needed to be dealt with. Shots from the dentist, before getting my teeth filled, were FAR more painful.
My sis didn’t vaccinate her two, I did vaccinate my two, her kids seem fine, my kids seem fine.
