The only concert my wife ever talked me into going to was the Moody Blues. I was glad she did.
RIP Ray Thomas ...

Great singer, flutist.
76? Dayum, feeling old.
The Moody Blues are one of the greatest rock and roll groups ever.
RIP, Ray.

In high school and college I waited, with great anticipation, for each new Moody Blues album. It would be hard to single out a favorite Ray Thomas tune. When Ray stopped touring with the MB, they were never the same again.

Passed away suddenly? Prostate cancer is not something that happens quickly, I know, I battled it and won.

Lots of great music from back in the day with the Moody Blues. One of the early alternative rock bands. They used all sorts of instruments from full orchestras to Moog synthesizers. I was hooked on their music from the first time I heard their album “In Search of the Lost Chord”.

i was going to post this earlier- i’m a long time fan of the Moody Blues- have seen them in concert almost 25 times since 1978..
Ray retired from the band about a dozen years ago but said to see him go- especially the year the R&R Hall of Fame finally inducts the Moddies (about 20 year to late of course)...

i would disagree about the band not being the same when he stopped touring- have seen them at least ten times without Thomas (most recently last April) and they’ve been spectacular...then again they don’t do any Ray songs...
funny, i was the same in HS- waited anxiously for Octave then stayed up all night when they used to play new albums in their entirety at midnight on 95.1 in Connecticut when Long Distance Voyager was released..

Passed away suddenly? Prostate cancer is not something that happens quickly, I know, I battled it and won. If it spreads from the prostate to the lymphs or bones, death can come quickly. I 've seen it happen to a dear friend.

A disease that took my father at about the same age.
In most ways the treatments were worse than the disease.
Always loved their music. RIP.

I'd like to hear what people think the lyrics of Nights In White Satin are about.
Don't copy and paste what you find on a search engine. I want to know your thoughts.
