I have that movie in my collection.
It’s real hoot.
It will be the WORST management blunder in decades.
Pushing gay marriage commercials from Budweiser, other leftist feminist commercials from fiat, and on and on and on.
Taking money from breast cancer and vets to give to BoweLMents.
I’ve not seen such a large enterprise commit suicide in a while.
#### em.
I was with you until that last line. It was great for a laugh though. At least they make no pretenses.
It’s a part of life growing away from certain former enjoyments.
I used to really enjoy watching pro football.
Baseball really sucked after Curt Flood opened the free agency doors.
What it did was allow the players to jump ship. They began doing so, so often that you couldn’t develop a real relationship with the ball club.
What’s the point of putting all your energy into following a team, if half the starting line-up isn’t there in two years.
I do believe Flood addressed and issue that needed to be sorted out, but what has taken place hasn’t been good.
Perhaps a plan to keep a guy in one place and get a better slice of the pie based on years with the cub might have been a better way to go. I don’t have a firm answer for it.
Both sides had some important reasons to push their agenda.
I agree.
We’re on the same page there, for sure.
players always switched teams frequently since the beginning. When salaries increased some teams dumped them. Or richer teams would buy contracts to get a shot at the series. Flood’s effort let the player have some say over going to other teams, not just the owners.
What movie is that? I want to say ‘The Comet’ but I don’t think that’s correct.
Pulled the plug years ago. Only stream Netflix and the like...occasionally. I have gained so much time to listen to music, read books, spend quality time w/ family...best move evah.
Four of my six children are voting age Millennials...they all vote Conservative...as do most of their friends and families. Careful with generalizations...Trump couldnt have made it without them.
It plays off the fact that these aliens are unknown to be living on Earth using the mind control techniques.
The main character finds a box of glasses that decodes the signs and makes it possible to recognize the aliens.
They walk around among the citizens looking just like them, until you put on the glasses.
It's an offbeat movie, and not particularly a top flight movie, but it is interesting.
Am pulling the plug on cable this Friday. Haven’t watched any football at all this season. No NFL. No college.
Is there a Kneeling Channel we can watch? Not porn!
I agree with your take to a certain extent. Players were always moved around from the start. As it relates to players having more of a say, I think that was an admirable goal.
My problem is that pretty soon all big talent moved around after being on a team for a few years. Today you can’t find long term players who have been on the same team for several decades.
Contracts went through the roof. I’m not convinced the game is better off for it.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass.. and I'm all out of bubble gum..
Classic.
I like good catch phrases like that.
They make for great tongue in cheek movies.
I haven’t watched, and won’t watch the SB either. At this point the Lingerie Bowl is more American.
I love that movie. RIP Roddy Piper.
FN A
Hopefully it will be Jacksonville vs Carolina in the Super Bowl. That would hurt the ratings even more.
