I believe the Activity tab used to work — or work better. It showed, IIRC, which threads where having comments added most energetically, or something like that. It was a way of seeing which topics were being “bumped to the top” by people who were making comments. I think the system went through an upgrade quite a long time ago which caused the Activity tab functionality to fail and it was never fixed.
You used to be able to click on activity and see the calendar order of comments posted on articles using that keyword.
At some several years ago this feature was disabled and now nothing shows up.

The first rule of Activity Tab is you don’t talk about Activity Tab.
It use to be the radioactivity tab but it’s been so long it’s decayed to lead.
You have to be logged in to activate the activity tab.

That’s funny, I happened to click on it the other day and there’s nothing there to see. Probably should remove it until it’s fixed.

The Activity Tab displays a list of all the things liberals have ever done for the betterment of humanity.
It used to show how many views a posting has but it quit working years ago.
The Activity tab gives you the latest activities in Jeff Sessions’s office. Let me check for the latest info now.... yep, my query returned no results. It’s 100% accurate, I love it. I’ll check back tomorrow for updates.
Same here, never paid any attention until today.
FR is a simple forum to operate, I only use the features needed to read articles, others posts and then to comment myself. I really do not care or have the time to go beyond that.
What I like best about FR’s system is there is no like button for comments. No comment counter. No rating system based on how many comments a poster has ever made. I think it is just silly to rate someone based on how many comments they have made. But then I’m not into social media, no Facebook or Twitter accounts, and never will.
