No links to terror uncovered in Harrisburg shooting despite claims from Trump administration

Authorities in Pennsylvania are pushing back against an initial judgement from the Trump administration suggesting that a shooting in Harrisburg was rooted in terrorism.
Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marco said Thursday that gunman Ahmed Amin El-Mofty, who was killed by police officers after he opened fired on authorities in the state’s capital last week, had no known ties to any terror groups, Penn Live reported.
Family previously told investigators El-Mofty was depressed about money problems and relationships with his loved ones. Pennsylvania State Police suspect he acted alone during the Dec. 22 shooting, which left a state trooper injured.
An official motive in the violent incident has not yet been established, though investigators do believe he was targeting officers in the attack...

Was he a muslim? If so, then it could be argued that he DOES have ties to at least one terror group. Especially since all the major organized Islamist terror groups encourage "lone wolf" terrorist attacks.
