While the Trump administration has been hit with a barrage of warnings that is stands to throw the Middle East into chaos if it recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the possible move has garnered support among Israel’s allies in Africa.

No, a Nobel Prize is proof positive that you’re on the wrong side (see: Barack Obama, Al Gore, et. al.). I will be perfectly happy if Trump never receives one of those phony awards.
I would be happy if he said, "The terrorist Arafat received that phony baloney award, and so did Barrack Hussein Obama for doing nothing after 2 months in office. Put your Peace Prize up where the sun doesn't shine."

Some might say just short of amazing.
President Donald Trump - what a joy to write those words - is realigning old alliances and forcing the creation of new ones. He has put in raised relief the threat of regional hegemony stemming from a nuclear-armed Iran. In the process, and almost by the sheer force of his personality, the President is forging a NATO-type alliance among Middle East states, evinced by growing support from Egypt, the Saudis, Jordan, the Gulf States. That West African nations stand ready to follow the President’s lead in recognizing Jerusalem is a watershed moment which further illustrates the rightness of the cause. It is long past time for the U.S. to have had a President with the courage of his convictions, borne from an historical regard for the value of Israel as an ally - and an out-of-the-box approach to resolving the two-state question. Much remains to be accomplished, for sure, but it is heartening indeed to see President Donald Trump holding the lantern on high to shine the light on a new pathway forward.
