Mrs. Obama was among the sold-out crowd at the Anthem, the District’s newest music venue, rocking along to the greatest-hits set list featured during the soul singer’s “Badu vs. Everythang” tour. Although Badu never performed at the White House during Obama’s time there, in 2015, the then-first lady made an appearance at BET’s “Black Girls Rock!” celebration honoring Badu, among other artists.
