I dont think we need to worry about Trump’s security in office for some reason...the Bill Clinton thing was different because it happened while IN office. And I don’t think Trump’s past has the level of evidence Clinton’s pre-presdiency sexcapades had. I don’t think Access Hollywood tape was damning. (It wasn’t good. But not damning.)

Tripp, Monica Lewinsky's confidante, talks about others finally acknowledging that Bill Clinton is a sexual predator.
Linda Tripp assumed that when the Lewinsky information became public, most people would share her assessment of Bill Clinton’s behavior. It was a reasonable assumption. “If he’s not telling the truth, he’s done,” ABC’s Sam Donaldson said in the early days of the Lewinsky scandal in 1998.
But Donaldson, like Tripp and many others, underestimated the ability of the Clintons and their enablers to seize the narrative and to fashion from damning facts a defense.
The Clintons setup a tax-paid team to investigate what Hillary called "bimbo eruptions." It speaks to the Clinton depravity that he knew all of this was true and yet allowed tax dollars to be spent to save his political ***.
Clinton team’s first strategy was to attack Lewinsky.
Sidney Blumenthal, the former journalist and trusted confidant of Hillary Clinton, arranged a lunch with his friend the writer Christopher Hitchens in the hope of convincing him that Lewinsky was an unstable stalker.
Appalled by the effort by the president and his team of smear artists, Hitchens filed an affidavit testifying to Blumenthal’s effort.
But the whispering campaign was hardly subtle. It was widely enough known that Maureen Dowd wrote a New York Times column headlined “Liberties: The Slander Strategy.” “Inside the White House, the debate goes on about the best way to destroy That Woman, as the President called Monica Lewinsky,” Dowd wrote. “Should they paint her as a friendly fantasist or a malicious stalker?” (Hillary called her a narcistic loony tune.")
There were limits for even the most ardent Clinton supporters, though, Dowd noted: “At least some of the veteran Clinton shooters feel a little nauseated this time around, after smearing so many women who were probably telling the truth, labeling Clinton's victims as trashy bimbos.”
The strategy changed. The Lewinsky relationship was next a consensual affair between adults and a matter properly resolved within the privacy of the Clinton marriage.

ADDENDUM---The Clintons cunningly exploited Billy's BJ for votes....he got reelected and she got into the US Senate not long after.
The leftists are so silly.
What they are doing is setting up the stage to force Trump to resign because he probably did something at some time that some woman will come forward about.
It’s not going to work, just like every one of the Dozen things they’ve tried so far haven’t worked.
Linda Tripp thought she would be given the courtesy and respect Anita Hill receive when 'outing' Clarance Thomas... (for telling an off colored joke... ) Instead Tripp was treated as a turncoat for NOT backing the jerk Bill Clinton...
Ken Starr also moved forward on the assumption that a person outed for lying about an extramarital affair would feel shame and drop out of sight.
Starr, Tripp, and the rest of had no way of knowing of the Clintons unique pathology......driven by the conniving Clintons well-hidden plans to stay in politics and to set in place money-making schemes using govt intel and resources.
I actually think the Access Hollywood tape + timing was completely the work of GOD and worked to Trump’s benefit (and redemption.)
And I agree with you about the former point as well. I checked Matty’s twitter page and indeed, he had a tweet saying how Trump should be next to resign.
Sure, Trump will of course leave...

Dear Matthew Yglesias,
It is so nice to hear that you are calling out the criminality of Bill Clinton. You have failed to do this at Vox during its history. In fact, as a leftist blogger/writer for fifteen years you have failed to do this and have instead supported the Clintons and their ilk for FIFTEEN years you have been in public life as near as I can determine with a brief inquiry.
It is really cheap virtue at this point as he was supported by every one of your cohorts during and after his Presidency prior to, during and after his Impeachment. It is meaningless.
Meaningless because you have failed to call out Biden, the Kennedy clan, Schmuck Schumer, and all the countless Democrats in office that failed in their sworn duty, and instead, supported the Clinton criminality and made sure it could continue. You have also failed to call out the entire list of journalistic hacks that kept him in power, allowed he and his wife to make personally over a hundred million dollars selling out our country.
Why bring up the gross failure of every one of your political cohorts at this time? Self serving shall we say?
