A PLANE passenger was booted off a flight because her rowdy emotional support PIG caused mayhem on board.
The woman was given her marching orders after the havoc-wreaking hog began walking up and down the aisles.
Even attempts to strap the farmyard animal to an arm rest failed.
One shocked onlooker said the brown swine looked around five stone as it was tossed over the unidentified woman's shoulder and marched off.

The only sane place for each individual is their own home. Outside of that, it’s all social compromise. The best we can do is insist that we have as many rights as the others who want us to compromise with them. Compromise. Not give in. So while I don’t think you can stop someone from needing their emotional support pig, you can insist that it be well-behaved.

What would I do? Perhaps, its above my pay grade, but thinking about it for the first time:
Some sort of animal qualification should be employed. I’m sick and tired of the passing the buck on responsibility that comes with an unwieldy, intrusive, but also overburdened and corrupt legal system. There’s too much o the squeaky wheel getting the grease.
Perhaps pigs wouldn’t be allowed at all; perhaps a behavioral training/certification board for support animals (no badge, no fly). At the boarding area or on the plane—someone, not everyone, has veto capability. They can say whether the animal goes on board or goes in a crate. There’s an appeal board, but damages are limited to something like double the flight cost paid by the animal owner who doesn’t like the decision.
Not a perfect program, but a start, off the cuff. Monkeys, pigs, and badly behaved dogs would be restricted most of the time, but well-trained, documented service dogs would be fine, as they usually are.
Well thought out. I like the use of someone to oversee the process in a consistent way, and the option of moving the animal to a crate. And I like the appeals board and limited liability. I’d be more generous over what animals could fly, but that’s a nit. Thank you.

I didn’t say pigs absolutely couldn’t fly in the passenger compartment, or monkeys, or parrots, just that it would be less likely!

I hear from a friend that the restaurants around here collect left over food for a local pig farm. I suppose they’re more likely to stay on the farm when the food is better than first class.
But don’t you REALLY wonder just what that Polar Bear is thinking?
I won’t even TELL you what happened after I brought my emotional support alligator snapping turtle aboard one flight...They were so rude...

I have an Emotional Support Glock that I want to bring with me everywhere I fly. I suppose I could use ADA law to make that possible.
I wonder how a lawyer would argue that case. No question that there are places one goes where one would be greatly emotionally supported by a Glock.
You're part of the problem. Anybody that needs an animal 24/7 for "emotional support" should be locked up in the looney farm.
The idea that you would attack someone for loving something furry just boggles my mind. I’m so very sorry for you. You must be absolutely miserable. People need support from various support systems. Some people use groups or philosophies. Some people use other individuals. And many of us use soft and furry animals that love with all their beings. I hope you find support somewhere for whatever your needs are. I’ll continue to love animals and support people who find their day to day support there.
