From Texas, IIRC. Safeway carries it with Mexican food and sauces.

Eating anything hotter than a Jalapeno is just stupid. I like Jalapenos but pain is not good.

I like my Kentucky Bourbon Ghost Pepper Sauce. Absolutely yummy and only 800k scovilles... Mild for a Ghost Pepper sauce.

I am proof of that. Went on a 4 day jaunt with the ball and chain and stopped at some side of the highway outlet. She bought some stuff and I was hungry. Spotted some jars of some exotic pepper stuffed olives. Thought road snack. I snacked and sweat and went on about how how hot they were to her. A few hours later we stopped at a restaurant to eat. My gut was rumbling. I excused myself and returned red eyed red faced and sweating profusely over and an hour and a half later. She thought I had left. Went to check if our vehicle was still there. To this day she still makes fun of my hot olive incident.

The real “secret” to making good hot stuff is to use lots of the 30000 unit hot peppers/aka cayenne instead of a few of the super hot peppers. This gives you more full body flavor instead of skimming in some flash super hot tastes.

Something like that would probably kill me. Heck, I cannot even handle jalapenos.

Several years ago, my brother-in-law was gifted a bottle of Dave’s Insanity ‘Special Reserve’. It came in a wooden box, and the instructions tell you not to use it around children or small animals. He enjoys really hot stuff, but he couldn’t handle more than ONE DROP in a gallon of chili.

I recommend the Beast. Very Hot, but has flavor. 1/8 teaspoon in Wendy's chili is about right.

It took me a year to get through the bottle. It was just heat, not much flavor.

Still have a bottle of something called Mad Dog sauce.

Second bottle, unopened, cannot recall why I ever bought another. About killed myself on the first one.

Smelled like a nice BBQ sauce so I slathered a burger with it. Big mistake. Only used a few drops of it for cooking after that.

We core them, stuff with cooked sausage and cream cheese, wrap with bacon and into the smoker.

That sounds seriously tempting. Maybe I can grab a ride with super7man.

I stop at Anaheim peppers. Even Hatch chiles are too hot for me.

Can’t understand the enticement - kind of like idiots who get drunk in a bar and then put a cigarette between their forearms to see who can stand being burned and blistered the longest....only with your mouth and digestion tract....

I have some staple pepper sauces, Tabasco for eggs, cocktail sauce, and tacos; but for all around such as ribs, chicken, etc, I recommend Panola:

But don't believe the heat rating, it is fairly mild with just a nice bite for meats. I buy it by the case. A 3 oz case of 36 is actually a better value than the 6 oz case of 24.

The Bat Brew is very good also, again kind of mild.
