Just before the dusk settled beneath the tree tops in New York City on Hollow’s Eve, eight more Americans died. On a bike path on a brisk day with thoughts on the festivities that evening, the holiday season ahead. A quick smile crooked might of glanced on the front door of their childhood home and their parents behind it. As it opened the smile of a mother preceded the smell of pumpkin pie. Some might of drifted to get some early shopping done, decorating the Christmas tree. And all that would be interrupted by the squeals imagined to come of their children opening presents.
And then in less than a moment their lower torso was shredded like pulled pork through the spokes of the tires. The smile that held a sigh a second ago was smashed, squeezing an eye out of the socket. One arm was smashed while the other caught in a brake pad was torn from the shoulder blade. The next tire squished the chest cavity to explode in a gush of blood and a heart torn apart to give one more beat on the pavement. The bloody mass dragged 30 feet scraping the pavement turning liquid. All in just a few seconds of consciousness to feel the pain and ooze the screaming horror.

On an earlier thread on this topic many posters were commenting that it is a miscarriage of justice that the murderer survived being shot by police. I think it is more fitting that he survived so long he does not live long in prison. Bu surviving he forfeits his automatic to Paradise and he really believed he was going there.He stays alive and hurting knowing that he is not guaranteed his houris and refreshing breezes. In order to get it all back he must to die killing infidels in prison.

I think I read an article that said 5 of the deceased were Argentinians, one German and one is from Belgium.
Which is no less tragic than if they were all Americans.
But, yes, the piece screams for some grammatical (and syntactic) editing.
Saw the headline and thought it was an article on marriage. :)
