NEW YORK A viral Instagram account is showing just how much having kids changes your life with photos of things children have ruined.
Mike Julianelle started posting the before and after photos on the Instagram account on Oct. 12 and the page now has over 18,800 followers and has had submissions from parents around the world.
Julianelle kicked it off with his own side-by-side photo just ten years apart. He has a 7-year-old and an almost 2-year-old.
I think they show the toll kids take on parents, Julianelle told HuffPost.
Obviously, its meant to be lighthearted, and no one is seriously blaming their children for the state of their faces or lives, except for me when I seriously blame my kids for the state of my face and my life, which is basically all I do on my blog and Facebook page and Twitter, Julianelle joked.
Julianelle runs a blog called dadandburied.com and thought this page would make other parents laugh and realize theyre not alone in feeling overwhelmed.

With children you lose a lot and you gain a lot. One thing you never get back is your youth.
Now they just need some pictures from their parents.
Funny but yeah someday I guess they’ll put up an obelisk commemorating the once Real Americans.
presumably there will be a bunch of chimpanzees jumping around.
Or maybe Mexicans, Malians and some Mormons.
The move to discourage breeding in Western civilization is moving along nicely.
I noticed that the sampling made some effort at ethnic equality but I would wager that a disproportionate number of the actual submissions are from white people.
and there is the rub:
for culture to survive it has to Value having kids.
You are exactly correct.
it’s really amazing:
what we’re experiencing is slow motion, consensual genocide.
Cockroaches expected to win..??
I love Wbill Jr. Having a kid is the second smartest thing that I've ever done (getting married was the first...) and it's certainly the MOST fun thing that I've ever done. If anything, I smile more, 'cause I'm happier.
Looking forward to Halloween this year. Wbill Jr. is dressing up as a "Zombie Mad Scientist", whatever that is. The neighborhood has a fun party, everyone gets together and has a good time.
And, I get to eat candy. :-)
Yep. It's really quite puzzling. I have no theories on why this is happening. I shall ponder it.
A big part of this, is the odd modern notion that you should be young, and beautiful and vibrant all your life. The fun should never end! Party! Party! Party!
Then people grow up (or at least grow older) and feel that theyve been cheated because their life no longer looks like a great TV show.
People have been sold a big lie for a long time. About a lot of things.
My kids got their good looks from me!
(My wife still has hers.)
It has to value old people too.
Toddlered?!?!
LOL!
Just wait till they are teenagered ;)

Liberals want to stay teenagers forever...
On the left we have a glamor shot with lots of makeup from 10 years ago.
On the right we have photo of someone waking up with little sleep, with no makeup after 10 years.
Gee...which will win?
Yep. Ever since the Carboniferous.
Define win.
Would you rather be pretty or loved?
hahahahah. No kidding, Freedom56v2.

Oh yeah!!
Why that’s right kids! You can stay HOT forever! Never mind about the natural aging of what you looked like 10 years ago. It’s those pesky kids.
If only you didn’t have kids you could have maintained the hottest Instagram pictures. It wasn’t the natural aging process. No. It wasn’t the fact that you became lazy. No. It wasn’t that you took the very finest pictures of yourself and posted them on Instagram for all to swoon. No. It was the kids!!
Just more narcissism on display here. More, whoa is me. I have kids; life is so tough now.
And you wonder why this generation is filled with Bernie Bros. Who wouldn’t want the promise of free stuff and a no-cost life Bernie promises?
