They’ll pull the usual tricks they always pull. They’ll force the retailers to buy a certain quantity of the books, and count those as “sold” books. The DNC will buy 100,000 copies and stick them in a landfill somewhere. The NFL will buy a 100,000 copies to hand out as part of lame prize packages or something. The New York Times will report it as a “Bestseller” regardless of how many copies actually get sold. The usual crap that is destroying the mainstream publishing industry.
