Mn, is that photo distorted? Otherwise that’s got to be uncomfortable having to walk on those fat things.

Will guard dogs keep them at bay?

I wonder if those are good eating.

If that boar hasn't been fighting or screwing with other pigs in the last hour, and you kill him dead as a stone with the first shot, then he might be OK to eat. Otherwise, generally pass on the big boars and go for the shoats under 200 lbs. To me, wild pork tastes better than store-bought.

Lost cause pretty much in my experience. Pigs will kill a dog. Most of the time they will run from dogs but if caught and cornered in large sounders they will hurt dogs and eat em.

I wonder if her pilot in Phoenix had to take her poundage into account, given the hot weather there.

In Texas, when can these be hunted and how many can be killed?

It would seem something “feral” should be handled like it’s “vermin.”

I remember going to Charles Schultz’s farm in Santa Rosa to look at a horse. They told us the Mexicans shot the dangerous wild boars and ate them. Read that farm was burned in the fire ....it was a beautiful place.

In Texas, they can be hunted all day; every day.

In Texas it's open season on wild hogs year round, and there's no bag limit.

Anytime, anywhere, any amount.

Just make sure you have permission on the land. That’s the tricky part.
