Banks may just be a target of the past after a South Texas man allegedly stole $1.2 million worth of fajitas over nine years.
According to The Brownsville Herald, Gilbert Escaramilla was arrested after authorities found packages of the food in his fridge. Investigators say Escaramilla was intercepting county-funded food deliveries, and then going on to deliver them to his customers.
The scheme imploded when he missed a day of work and 800 pounds of fajitas were delivered to his former job at the Juvenile Justice Department.
Escaramilla has been arrested on felony theft charges.
Wouldn't you get sick of fajitas before you hit $1 million of them?
never! never! never! (repeat ad infinitum)
Tex-Mex now and forever!
Fajito Bandito
That’s nearly all I see here. Been living in Brownsville for a year and a half and I’m so sick of tortillas I could puke. Mexicans eat them with EVERYTHING. As soon as I escape this hellhole, I will never again eat any tortilla anything. Bacon and cheeseburgers and real American food for me from that point on
Relax there Sonnyboy, a fresh tortilla with real butter is like a piece of fresh hot bread and butter right out of the ove.
They all taste like a cardboard box to me
I’ll take tortillas over white rice any day... SO SICK of rice :p
As somebody who’s been raised here in West TX I’ll just say keep the burgers, a good Mom and Pop Mexican food place is a staple around here. Burgers are junk food!
Sweet. More bacon cheeseburgers for me
You call in sick one time, and they forget about all your years of loyalty.
Especially the red rice, and salmon... and these black-eyed peas...
$1.2 million worth of fajitas? After $100 of fajitas, I’d be sick of them...
I love Fajitas Tejanos!...............
Depends on whether you’re talking ‘corn’ or ‘flour’ tortillas. I prefer the corn ones any day!.............
Drop the Chalupa!
