The number of atheists in Ireland has shot up by nearly three quarters whilst the number of Catholics has dived, according to the latest census figures.

In 2011, a total of 277,237 ticked the ‘no religion’ box on the census form, but five years later, 481,388 did so.

That means that atheism is now the second largest belief system in the Irish Republic, accounting for 10.1% of the population.

My faith came to me by way of Ireland.
A sad state of affairs there now to be sure.

Marxism is a faith.

It certainly isn’t grounded in observed fact.

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on a person’s point of view, it’s all there in The Apocalypse.

For any human being to feel that we are somehow intellectually beyond the God is unfathomable. We know so little about the universe, or whatever other universes that might exist, and have no control over more than a infinitesimal portion of our known existence. We can’t even substantially prolong our longevity. Yet, we have the audacity to dismiss God.

Pretty much the only Catholics left in Ireland are the Polish immigrants.

The Late Great Planet Earth is an interesting read.

IIRC, It states the last fight will be for black gold (oil). And the Eagle and the Bear will fight the Dragon.

When we are friends with Russia is when Lindsey thinks stuff will hit the fan.

At least we’re not there.... yet.

“Pretty much the only Catholics left in Ireland are the Polish immigrants.”

The Polish weathered the USSR because they kept their faith.

“Global communist are winning”.

The Pope would agree. Social engineering is his main concern.

I converted at 45 solely because of my admiration of JPII. It wouldn’t happen today.

Miss JPII.

Now he was a real Pope!

Found this

“St. John Paul II didn’t conquer communism with guns, tanks, or economic sanctions. He had the courage to speak out about the basic anthropological truths that make us human; such a weapon was much deadlier to the materialistic Marxist-Leninist hegemon than any human weapon. This inspiring true story is one of many examples that conclusively prove that humanity is better off with Christianity.”

This man truly understood!

We know how it ends already and Communism and all the other mad made isms lose to the almighty King. Unfortunately apostasy like what is happening in Ireland and elsewhere is part of the story.

Sad that the Irish persisted for centuries clinging to the faith against the British Crown and its heretical church only to be led astray by a few generations of socialism and the loose morals of modernism. Scandal in the Church certainly didn’t help but the moral rot had already set in with the people.

I’m not even sure there are any Catholics left in the Vatican so this isn’t so surprising.

Maybe St Pat (wore green shirt today and read his prayer at church today) sent Hurricane Ophelia to help him convert Ireland a second time. This time from heaven with help on earth.
