Let’s face it, this is delicious.
It seems that most conservatives are happy to watch it unfold. I see none trying to take full advantage of this Hollywood/liberal crisis.
It is fair to say that the women who willingly play that game, either by inviting it or willingly going along do ruin it for the women who will not play that game.
It’s in corporate america as well... I lost potential clients because the decision makers only worked with women who would pay that price....and they willingly did so.
Yeah, the guy looks totally creepy, something demonic about him. Yet he held such power that no one dared oppose or expose him. Shows what a cesspool Hollywood is.
Hollywood hasn’t been rocked this hard since the Fatty Arbuckle scandal
Paraphrasing a Democrat, we should never let a crisis go to waste.
Bring out the guillotines.
“And its awesome! Die you mfs die. All of you scummy people.”
+1
(And to the OP: pointing out the scum on both sides this crapstorm is not “defending Weinstein”)
Amen. The filthy swamp runs deep. Dare we hope that the sordid Weinstein affair will expose the underlying corruption of our society?
Bring it all down!
You still haven't read the actual accounts, have you, "banned and suspended" humblegunner? So, the question remains: why are you defending a sexual pervert? Is it because you secretly envy him?
Nope, not buying it.
When discussing victim-blamers, there was no need for the author to mention Free Republic specifically.
And if the author was determined to mention Free Republic, he could have cited a few other sites as well. But he didn’t. Free Republic stood out all alone.
But wait, it gets worse. The author goes on to connect those minority opinions on Free Republic with Muslim practices.
It doesn’t seem to me that the author was deliberately trying to smear Free Republic. But smear Free Republic he did.
There is certainly plenty of blame to go around, but we must not excuse the horrific sexual predator Weinstein.
I remember that one post but all the others IIRC definitely did not support him.
So you are shocked to learn that such things go on in the movie industry.
SHOCKED! SHOCKED, I SAY!
Grow the hell up, that crap has been going on for decades.
And your blog isn’t news.
I beg to differ. Some - perhaps many - of the women were not guilt-free as to their motivations. But Weinstein committed inexcusable sexual offenses against them, and we must not in any way mitigate his guilt.
Wrong. If you are claiming that there are no defenders of the pervert Weinstein on FR - blaming the victims = then you haven’t been reading the threads. Thankfully it is a small - but vocal - minority.
Good. Let’s hope the “rocking” tears down the whole rotten edifice.
Speaking of swamps!
WHY WON’T THE SWAMP DRAIN? ~ MAYBE A DOUBLE-POWER-FLUSH ON 0BAMA IS NEEDED FIRST!

I don’t recall anybody on FR who defends Weinstein, but to anybody who reactively condemns those who might have legitimate doubts about his accusers I offer two words: Crystal Mangum.
