If someone with a technology 10,000 or a million years ahead of ours doesn’t want their picture taken then it won’t be. On the other hand, there are many credible photos of UFOs from every decade since the 1940’s, unless you believe that everyone who has ever photographed one is a hoaxer.

The science is settled.

I’m not sayin’ it’s aliens.

But it’s aliens.

I find it intriguing, whether true or not. It’s grand drama, supremely entertaining.

And I cannot find an objective reason why they would not exist, only the limits of our understanding of physics says they could not visit us.

Faster than light travel.

And, if we’re wrong on the physics...?

as an aside, someone with a technology 10,000 or a million years ahead of ours trying to “advance” us would be equivalent to us trying to teach a group of cavemen to manufacture a laptop PC with their existing technology.

the acquisition of knowledge and technology must occur in tandem and the advancement of both is necessarily an incremental process, that is, newer knowledge and technology has to be built on the older in an incremental fashion.

it’s pure fantasy for those who believe that a “super-advanced” civilization could land on Earth, wave their magic wand, and instantly transform us into them. Using the caveman analogy, the best they could do is probably advance us from stone tools to some type of simple copper ones by showing us a simple wood-fired copper smelting technique with easy-to-smelt copper ores.

My question is if they are so advanced, why do they need lights to see in the dark? We knuckle dragging humans have that one already figured out.

UFOs are simply that. Unidentified flying objects. I've followed the phenomena for decades and have yet to see a single incident that has me convinced of an extraterrestrial connection. Is there other life in our galaxy? Very likely. Is there advanced intelligent alien life? Possibly, but I lean toward the view that advanced alien technological civilizations are exceedingly rare, short lived or altogether nonexistent.

I know what I saw that late evening in June 1978 while driving through the Nevada desert with my parents and my brother.

That single ball of light, that seemed to have no mass, appeared in my rearview mirror and hung back about a 1/4 mile or so. Then in a blink of an eye came right up to within a few car lengths. It stayed there for a few seconds, went 90 degrees straight up, flew over my car and drop straight down, 90 degrees, in front of the car a few car lengths. A few seconds later it went left, again at 90 degrees, out into the desert, hovered for a few seconds, and then went straight up and was gone.

The light was unwavering and steady. Its intensity was the same at 1/4 mile as it was within a few yards. I could not see any mass or shape to a vehicle body that would have a light mounted on it.

That’s a true story. My brother, who posts here as HuskyEd can verify.
