The amount of overtime pay for St. Louis city and county police officers has added up to nearly $4 million in the weeks following the not guilty verdict against Jason Stockley.

St. Louis County Police said the cost of staff overtime since the protests began is nearing $1 million. City police estimate $2.9 million has been spent as of September 25.

St. Louis County officers were put on 12-hour shifts when the not guilty verdict in the Jason Stockley case was announced.

News 4 has also reached out to St. Louis City officials to find out their current overtime cost.

BLM protest because they hate the police. The police officers collect nearly $4 million in overtime.

Perhaps the cop haters should rethink their tactics.

https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/departments/budget/documents/upload/FY18-AOP-Executive-Summary-as-adopted.pdf

The total FY2018 budget for the Police Department excluding
grants but including pension costs is $193.7M. This total
includes approximately $1.4M for matrix step increases in
pay for uniform and civilian employees of the department.

4 Million dollars in overtime, may or may not have been included in the operating budget, but, at the moment, it is 2% of the annual Police department budget.
