Turns out that many businesses who advertise during the NFL games are
beginning to realize that the fans are real upset. I mean, who would have
thought that even Anheuser Busch would begin feeling the wrath of the fans?

So they decided put out this toll free number for anyone who wants to express
their opinion on what they think of the way multi-millionaire players and
multi-billionaire owners of the NFL are protesting during the national Anthem.

If your angry, then call Budweiser and let them have it. I did, and I
will admit it made me feel better. For a few moments anyway. Who knows
if it will make a difference, but at least the phone call is free.

You're right, they want to move comments into a domain they have a systematic, bureaucratic, means of handling and put out a PR statement about how they've "listened to the fans" and will now have more American flags in their during NFL games or some trash like that. Maybe red, white, and blue, blankets on the horses a couple of times.

Social media, well, they can't control, channel, and defuse through filtering, comments made there where a lot of other people see them and are influenced by them. One person making a comment, then another, and soon even the people who are usually wallflowers are stating what they really feel about the flag being disrespected.

Those wallflowers would usually read the PR statement, perhaps grumble to their family a bit, then tune in to see how the ads from Bud change. Not at all the same reaction they have when people are taking a firm, often colorful, stand on Social Media that will encourage them to skip the NFL games completely.
