CNN)Returning from a high-dollar fundraiser in Manhattan on Tuesday evening, an infuriated President Donald Trump watched aboard Air Force One as Fox News called the Alabama Senate primary for Roy Moore against Trump's favored candidate, Luther Strange. What ensued was a barrage of angry venting at his political team and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had consolidated establishment GOP support behind Strange.
Trump, officials and informal advisers say, felt misled by McConnell and his political team, who encouraged him to endorse and campaign for Strange.

Mitch is gone in ... 3 ....... 2 ....... 1 .......
Lesson for all to learn: If McConnell’s lips are moving, he is lying to you.
CNN Lies.
All the time.
About everything.
Trump made a deal with McConnell. For his support of Strange, McConnell promised something to Trump. We do not know if it was Obamacare, the Budget, the wall or tax reform, but it was something.
And now that Strange lost, McConnell owes Trump. We will soon find out what Trump dealt for as it will probably be the only thing passed by the Senate in the next 3 years.
Fake news...
And The Turtle blew tens of millions on Strange’s failed campaign that he should have saved for GOP campaigns against Democrats next year. He can’t be that stupid, so he must have gone to the Dark Side.
CNN? Hardy-har-har...
If true, and admittedly it's a big if given the source, then the President has nobody but himself to blame for his dilemma.
If it’s on cnn, it must be true.
Not sure I trust CNN, but yes, the President needs to discount any further advice from whoever told him to support Strange.
Watch that Turkey Neck jiggle.
CNN Lies.
Trump is probably is happy Moore won.
More Fake News from CNN.
Why should Trump be mad?
His base still loves him, and Senate nemesis McConnell gets embarrassed and out $30 million for other Senators’ campaigns next year.
Moore will win in December, and Trump does not lose a backer, either before with Strange, or after with Moore.
So much winning.
Mitch will be there so long as 27 Republican senators will vote for him. In other words, as long as he wants.
Yeah - never trust CNN
It was obvious it was going to be Moore in a big way. Can’t imagine Trump or anyone else is surprised.
Trump is still battling the GOP elites. His strategy may be to say - look, I supported your guy, at great cost to my reputation, and he still lost. You RINOs are useless - step aside.
Heard Ed Rollins on Lou Knobs last night dumping on McConnell which is something of a surprise.
Saying words to the effect that he needs to be gone.
> Trump tweeted he spoke to Moore for the first time last night <
If that’s true, it’s a bit puzzling. But then again, so was Trump’s decision to back Luther Strange in the first place.
I agree with this but can someone remind me why Trump supported Strange in the first place?
