POTUS, Trump, the "tell like it is" POTUS, has caused both major political parties, the entire media and the entire sports world into a very uncomfortable place for all of them. Bottom line, Trump has the vast majority of Americans in his corner supporting him and his stance in defending the American flag, The American national anthem, The American culture, The American nation, and most of all the American people.
The media is lost at babbling this or that, The NFL management and coaches, in total, are not the sharpest knives in the drawer, has zero leadership of any kind, the NFL team Kneelers are not-too-bright, and have been ill advised at best, the political parties do not want to touch this losing game with a ten foot pole.
Trump has trapped them all, while the overwhelming majority of Americans support the POTUS big time.
I would advise the NFL to come forth with a policy that prohibits the "Knee" act immediately, but encourages their players to be politically vocal and active on the likes of CNN, ESPN, MSNBC, NPR, etc. NFL, shut this "knee" farce down right now..or die on the vine of political correctness foolishness, that you have allowed to be created by your uninformed light weight players. The "Race Card" gig just ain't cool anymore and it does not and will not work like it did once. Identity politics, if not dead already is very quickly dying in the real world!!! Trumpie got the story line right, and the brains...too!!!
Through all of it, I think my own question is:
What the hell are they protesting?
The Declaration? The Constitution? The Amendments?
The Flag?
The Anthem?
Military flyovers?
The White majority who have been tarred as unrepentent racists with no redeeming features?
Or is it a diva who was benched and decided to pick scabs?
Injustice? Let’s talk. But let’s talk about BOTH sides views and the reality of facts, not feelings.

So we soon to be cooked frogs decided to elect a Big Frog to tell the truth as to what is going on...that if we didn't fight back, we were going to eventually face boiling waters.
Now that the truth is being revealed, the Liberal/Communists are hysterical because their jig is up and they don't have a plan B to fall back on.
The NFL had a choice, support the thugs that hate our nation, or support their fans that love our nation. They choose to side with the thugs.
Regardless on what they do now, it is out there. The people know what they really think of them.
The social contract between sports and fans has been damaged. Sort of like when a spouse is caught cheating. Will the marriage survive? Will the NFL survive?
Perhaps, but not at the same level.
And they are trying to take America with them. The President is trying to stop that. May God be with him.
The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.
A scoop I have from a business acquaintance.
He works in an office building where Steelers owner Art Rooney II has an office (his secure, undisclosed location).
For the first time in the nine years this guy has worked there the parking lots to the building were absolutely full yesterday.
Rational conclusion is that all those cars belonged to agents, PR people and spin doctors. And that a DEFCON 1 meeting was taking place in Rooney’s office.
The kneeling players with the backing of the mostly liberal owners have clearly demonstrated the political divide / cultural divide. Their response to a dog whistle puts the liberal social justice movement on the opposite side of the flag, veterans and most Americans in nationally watched events by nearly everyone.
Trump just demonstrated how much liberals hate traditional American values for the public, in a way that a few celebrities bashing him at awards ceremonies doesn’t.
Second, it was a distraction of sorts from his revised immigration ban on mostly Muslim nations whose systems are compromised by Islamic terrorists or refuse to accept deportees.
The man can multi-task, I give him that.
So long as the Bureaus actually run the country their jig is not “up.” The progress has entered a period of minimal regression but unless Trump manages to scuttle the entire bureaucracy outside of the first four Departments, it is only a hiatus no matter the Republicans remain dominant or not.
Face it. Blacks have superior athletic abilities so they dominate the NFL and the NBA. Regardless of the money they make, they have a different perspective and if the truth be told bitterly hate and resent white people. The white owners make huge amounts of money with these spectacles, understand the dynamic and accommodate themselves to keep the show going. Hypocrisy abounds. Actually they need each other and will tolerate each other as long as there is money to be made. Oops. A mistake has been made. The consumers who support these spectacles have been insulted and offended. Now there is less money to be made and much time, money effort much be spent on “public relations” and propaganda. Will the show continue? Probably, but not as before.
Trump is bringing to the surface that ANTIFA to the dems to the NFL, Media, celebrities, swamp, Rinos etc are all connected and essentially enemies of democracy.
This is good for the public to see as many cannot figure it out for themselves.
I think this is what it was like prior to the Civil War when people were choosing sides.
One thing I am noticing is that disrespecting the flag seems to offend across all regions and political bent. Some of the loudest booing occurred in the liberal hellhole of Boston.

I looked in the 2017 rule book and those paragraphs are not in it. They apparently are in the NFL Game Operations Manual but I can’t find a copy online.

This is definitely what Trump is defending. I pray that you're right that the vast majority of Americans support him and his stance. I certainly do!
Trump's election proved that the American Heartland is alive, healthy, and ascendant! That alone brought hope and encouragement to all honest Americans. And all honest Americans are solidly behind President Trump.

I wonder if they getting season ticket and sky box cancellations. Yesterday rush admitted not watching football next I’ll hear he has gone android. That has got to have caused some concern. I know several folks like him when it comes to football and they have sworn it off. This is big this morning they are waking to this realization there is no good outcome other than intense player discipline and public apologies from the players coaches and owners. Like someone else said we know what they think of us. And now they all are tainted traitorous entitled anti American losers - yeah like I want to watch that.
They are protesting black oppression or minority oppression.
Post Civil Rights Era the white people provided them with opportunity and financial incentives/advantages to improve their circumstances. Affirmative Action, Desegregation, collegiate minority quotas, advantages over the Caucasian person, mandatory bank investments in urban and ghetto areas, small business loans, home loans, welfare, medical, etc.
Then their lot still did not seem to improve. In fact, in many, many ways it became worse. Society as a whole still did not understand the ‘why’ of it. Soon some black people said, ‘white man stop interfering with our ‘culture’ we’ll do it ourselves. You don’t understand our struggle. So, in many ways we stepped aside. Things still did not improve for the black person.
Here we are today with white people looking on and still wondering...what the problem is? Now we’re told it is systemic racism or that racism or white privilege etc. And the white people don’t seem to recall all that has already been attempted for the black man.
In fact, with all that has been done to lift up the black race ...under a normal societal culture one just might ask, what is indeed wrong and why it isn’t working? Is it the ‘white privilege’ that oppresses the black race or is it their own black culture? Honestly, the white race doesn’t understand.
What we do understand is America cannot go on this way. We do understand that all races must have a fair opportunity to succeed here and in many ways the nation offers those incentives and opportunities. So many immigrants have come to this country poor, broke, and turn around in this land or opportunity and succeed.
Where is the success of the black race?
