Hurricane Jose is continuing its leisurely loop over the waters a few hundred miles north of Puerto Rico, and is not expected to threaten any land areas this week. The latest computer models now say that Jose may be with us a very long time--at least another week. Jose may be a landfall threat next week for the U.S. East Coast or Canada, but that is too far in the future to make a reliable forecast. Bermuda is near the edge of Joses 5-day cone of uncertainty, and residents of that island should monitor the storm.
Jose is under high wind shear of 20 - 30 knots, and high shear is expected to affect Jose all week, keeping it a Category 1 hurricane or tropical storm. Satellite images on Wednesday morning showed that Jose still had plenty of intense heavy thunderstorm activity, but the storm was misshapen and asymmetrical due to the high wind shear. Passage over its own cold wake in the ocean may be able to weaken Jose to a tropical storm by Friday. After crossing its cold wake, Jose will be over very warm waters with sea surface temperatures (SSTs) near 29.5°C (85°F). These warm waters extend all the way to the coast of North Carolina.
It doesn't seem likely that it's going to be an issue for the US.
Then he will come bolting over the Rio Grande the minute
you are not looking.
(Insert President Trump ending DACA joke here)
Hose A and Hose B.
Does this mean climate change is over?
It’s going round and round
Joanne Feldman of Fox 5 Atlanta , in the mornings, has given very good coverage of all the hurricanes. She explains different models, which have been most reliable, and then gives her own prediction
no...it could turn into a CAT 20, winds at 500 mph, all the ocean dumped on land as rain for 40 days and 40 nights, 20 trillion in damages.
this is only an estimate....
Hopefully that is it for the season.
It’s over until the next major hurricane/drought/blizzard/plague of locusts.
Jose will wander until some circus court overrules Trump’s immigration orders, then make landfall.
Is Maryland a sanctuary state?
My son found a graphic about hurricane Jose and President Trump with Trump saying, *No papers, no landfall*.
He never sent me the link and I cannot find the graphic.
But it was funny.
My God, I hope so.
There are many different models out there.
Some times some work better than others.
Predicting the path of something in a moving system is a crap shoot.
Much like trying to figure out what a pinball is going to do on its way down.
But part of me doesn’t think so.
The Gulf is still VERY warm and perfect for tropical storm development.

But it's settled science that a hundred years from now, he will cause the continents to sink by melting all the icebergs in the Caribbean.
