High Fat, Low Carb, Moderate Protein.

50-100 grams of carbs a day, and lose the sugar.

Going cold turkey with alcohol and some drugs can and have led to death. Withdrawal symptoms can be deadly from alcohol and Benzo’s. Medical detox is needed for both.

You can go cold turkey on sugar, anything containing high fructose corn syrup or other caloric sweeteners, soft drinks, ice cream, cakes and pastries, fast food, cereals, and all junk food, but too many carbohydrates and calories from healthy food will still keep you overweight.
