I expect there is no time for an evacuation without giving up the element of surprise. Dependents should avoid war zones irrespective of what previous administrations have supported. Pray without ceasing that God will show mercy, intervening from heaven to thwart the evil design of the adversary.

He doesn’t need one. We are technically still at war with the Norks.

So where is the one thing

Don't be in such a hurry. Millions of lives hang in the balance in this game.

Same way as West Germany welcomed East Germany to the free world and the rest is history and we ate hear to talk about it.

West Germany welcomes a 1950s-1960s society - East Germany into a 1990s world. That part of Germany is still a drag on the German economy plus it brought in Merkel. I am not saying it was bad and they shouldn’t have done it. Just pointing it was not easy and it wasn’t cost free.

South Korea will be integrating into its society a functionally a medieval level society, where the average North Korean of military age has the physical (and probably mental!) development of a South Korean 12 year old. This will be a huge huge challenge! That’s why all the SK’ers I talk to aren’t that enthusiastic. The ones that are living here in the US tend to be the more entusiastic, they won’t have to live with & pay for the process. Many SK’ers in South Korea actually prefer the status quo as sad to contemplate as that is!

A undeclared war. Amazing how folks here are willing to toss aside the Constitution for the U.N. charter. That police action cost 36,000 US lives and a nearly 70 year US commitment on the Korean peninsula. Seems like that is the kind of decision Congress should be voting on.

It won’t be easy at all. But the alternative of war is much worse.

Thanks for posting this. NK is not on a leash. NK is doing what China is telling them to do. Every time NK does something, we tighten economic sanctions.

Today President Trump announced, the US is considering completely cutting trade with any country who deals with NK.

China’s economy depends on trading with the US. They are slowly being squeezed. Today they threatened Taiwan. Soon they will realize they can’t win. If we pull the plug on thier economy, the communist regime will collapse.

They have been placed in a box, they just haven’t figured it out yet. All they have to do is disarm NK.

That’s why the SK’ers in SK prefer the status quo. Yes they are probably whistling in the dark that “Same old Same old” will continue!

Machiavelli once said (paraphrasing) “ .. a war avoided (when needed!) is a war intensified ..”

Sucks being them. Their cities destroyed and millions dead vs later, their cities and millions dead.

yep

And actually the way the Korean War ended confirms Machiavelli’s maxim.

We ended the war because it was convenient for us the US not necessarily for South Korea. We accepted a “half solution” the “war thus avoided” now it potentially comes back intensified!

That is precisely why I am in a hurry. We are 20 years overdue removing this serious threat.

The more we tweak and tighten the more likely NK will initiate a military attack. Ruining a country’s economy IS an act of war. The answer for 20 years has been military and no one on DC has had the balls. now the consequences will be mush more. Thank you Clinton, Bush, and Obama.

And how do you propose President Trump "remove" this threat?

freeze the artillery and ropes at the DMX with missiles and troops from SK and Japan Destroy missile and test sites. kill the megalomaniac if it means some carpet bombing. Three pronged attack.

let me ask, why are you so passive on the biggest threat to us since the cold war and islamic terrorism

I'm not. It just seems that every other post here, someone wants to start dropping nukes.

For the recoed, I think your approach is more sound, and will result in far fewer casualties there.

I never said anything about dropping nukes except I like to drop them behind the enemy ands trap their army between the blast and our artillery. I have said isolate and neutralize them at the border. Destroy test and missile sights and kill the megliomanical fanatic.

The soviets subscribed to MAD. Iran thinks they have the responsibility to bring about the endow the world. Kim is bat shit crazy. That makes each of them more dangerous than the soviets.

When people say they will wipe you off the map and your allies and we know they are fanatics and they are working on the weapons, what more do you need to think, gee that ,might be a serious threat?
