George Washington was a slave-owner. It is clear from that fact alone, in the interest of peace and harmony, decency and fairness, sensibility and sanity, and in an effort to avoid any insensitivity toward all of our peoples, especially the indigenous and the non-citizen immigrant, let alone long-suffering great-great-great-great-great grandchildren of former slaves, that the capital city of our fair land must be re-named. Some of the leading candidates are listed below. Please feel free to add your own:

The City of Kwanzaa
And then? Bringing up a locale like that makes me think of the Southwest; but eventually it comes down to all of the US. That’s where we are headed.

Many of those advocating statehood for DC have proposed the name New Columbia. However, that’s out because Christopher Columbus is now in the Left’s doghouse.

Columbia is also a mythical goddess who is seen as a personification of the United States of America, best portrayed by the image one sees at the beginning of movies made by Columbia Pictures.
A couple of years ago, the Seal of the County of Los Angeles was changed to remove the cross from the top of the depiction of the San Gabriel mission. Didn’t want anyone to think Christianity had anything to do with Los Angeles.
I wrote to the newspaper and noted the irony that the county is named after Our Lady Queen of the Angeles— a patently Christian name. I suggested that the county could be renamed simply “Los”. Somehow, that idea never went anywhere.
So, Washington, DC would have to become “Capital, F.D.” (federal district).
We will also have to find a new name for the state of Washington.
We need to change it to Townie McTownface.
Name it after Trotsky, Lenin or Mao—tough call for the Seattle folks.
Washington State as well. I think all blacks who are named Washington should also change their names, in fact a law should be passed mandating it. What should Denzel Washington change his name to? Madison and Monroe were also slave owners. Change Madison Wisconsin and Monroe County FL and NY. And let’s not forget Benjamin Franklin. He owned slaves and his newspaper was a veritable eBay! for slaves, advertising high quality slaves at the lowest possible prices!
