On April 8,2024, a total eclipse will be visible in Dallas,Ft. Worth, Austin, & San Antonio. Why the hype with this one as once in a lifetime event when there will be another in six years?

That was the last total one that went from coast to coast.
The last solar eclipse over the US was Feb. 26, 1979.
And on May 10, 1994 there was an annular eclipse across the US.
I do believe that we are in the end times.
I do NOT believe that this eclipse is anything other than an eclipse. Calling it a sign borders on superstition. Eclipses happen very regularly. Nothing special.
I thought this was pretty neat. A 2000 year old computer to forecast eclipses, solar events, etc.

Now IF the size and distance made a total global eclipse THAT would be something of note.
The size and distance are just that and only that. If the moon were larger or smaller it would just make a larger or smaller eclipse. If the moon were closer it would be larger, if it were further, smaller.
It's not as big of a talking point as most people make it to be.

I’m not sure what kind of “sign from God” can be predicted with mathematical certainty down to the second by astronomers centuries in advance. God produces “signs” precisely when and where the mathematical tables say he should?
Trumpets is also the wedding of the Messiah, the crowning of the King, and the day of the opening of the books. Jews know all this, but somehow missed the Christ. We have Christ but missed all the Jewish teaching.
Now we have Virgo with the "King Planet", Jupiter, leaving her womb on Trumpets. The constellation Leo has 9 stars usually, but this year, 3 more planets will make 12 above her head just as Rev 12 states. We also have a Jubilee year starting this coming Feast of Atonement. Jesus started His first ministry on a Jubilee year after coming out of the wilderness starting His fast on Elul 1. The year starting this Tishri 1 will be 5778. What is the temp of the sun in Kelvin,...5778 deg.
There are a lot of signs lining up for this coming Trumpets as the Rapture. It's possible it won't happen this year, but it will happen on some Feast of Trumpets. When the wise men came to search for the Christ child from the east, what made them "wise men" and not "rich men", "powerful men", or just regular jews looking for Jesus? They were wise because they were looking for Him and SAW THE SIGN IN HEAVEN. Look for the sign in Heaven. Gen 1:14 says the sun, moon and stars are for signs and seasons. The word "seasons" is "moed" or "appointed time" in Hebrew. The words "Holy Convocation" as used in Leviticus 23 means "rehearsals". These are God's Days for Him to do something at the appointed times. Dec 25 is just a random day that only means something to pagans as the winter solstice. Tabernacles, OTOH, means God came to live with His people in Temporary houses. John 1:14 says the Word became flesh and "dwelt" among us. The word Dwelt there is Tabernacled. If Jesus was punctual with Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost, why would He not be punctual with the Fall Feasts? The Bible tells us that the saved Jews had no need to worry about Jesus overtaking them as a thief because they knew the Feast Days. There are wise virgins and foolish virgins in Scripture. What makes a Christian wise?.....They are watching! How do they know when to watch? Leviticus 23 tells them. All we need is a sign in the sky on a Lord's Feast day. Ahhhh, we have that in Rev 12. May you have a good judgement.

When Christ said he comes as a thief and only the Father in Heaven knows the time of the “end” or “his coming”...depends on what we are defining...he meant exactly that...no one would know...no on earth would be able to “figure it out”. Christ’s death and resurrection signaled a new covenant with men, one in which God would write his laws in our inward places. It also means that old forms and customs would also find their living expression in our lives as well. As for his coming....it could be “Trumpets” as you mention or it could be some ordinary day in June...a woman somewhere grinding corn with her friend...just doing ordinary stuff...and poof she’s gone....or another fellow walking with a friend...perhaps he is trying to win his friend to Christ...then poof...he’s gone. Christ said we weren’t to know because “certain vested interests” would act to guard against it...Matthew 24:”…42Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.…”
You expect him to come during Trumpets over a “two day” so naturally he won’t come on those days.(or he might because...”no one knows for sure”) The verse is an exhortation to be spiritually ready and pure in heart so that one isn’t caught in a “slumbering state” where one is only saved by the “skin of his teeth”!
Maybe people will seek to understand His sun, moon and stars more. Study His creation a little. He does use them to tell time.
He gives signs at His Feasts today too- in the day time. Just can’t see them- but they’re there.
Spring and Fall.
And the message is about Him.
Believers would be blessed to see His plan is set up there.
And Bob, I saw a study where the name ‘america’ actually could be broken down in languages to ‘kingdom of heaven’.
This is a prophetic nation so anything that happens here, has a prophetic meaning-
This eclispe starting essentially in a city called Salem (shalom-peace) in Oregon isn’t an accident.
Or it ending in South Carolina isn’t an accident.
He is Sovereign.
But what it means is for Him to know and us to ask, seek and knock!
Today, on the Father’s calendar isn’t a ‘Monday’. and His Creation and His Word can tell us what today is to Him.
I pray more seek to find out- Because it may change the way they see the world and read His Word. And start to really give Him the glory!
