His infamous whiteboard in the West Wing listed the promises Trump had made to the voters, and he was determined to check as many of them off as possible. Steve Bannon personified the Trump agenda.
With Bannon gone, there is no guarantee that Trump will stick to the plan. That is why — too late, in retrospect — conservative leaders wrote to the president Friday to advise him that Bannon and campaign manager-turned-counselor Kellyanne Conway were too valuable to lose. Bannon had delivered for the movement, reportedly convincing President Trump to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accords, and to visit Israel on his first trip abroad.

As I remember, Trump always said he was going to win. His crowd sizes were always the biggest. His social media numbers were always the biggest.
I was not aware that Trump ever needed to turn his campaign around. His change of campaign staff is exactly the same as Belichick sending in different staff for offense, defense and special teams. It is a sign of a pro game as compared to the sandlot game that some good people ran.
Mark these words, if Breitbart keeps up this crap attacks on Trump, it will be the end of Breitbart. They should call Glenn Beck to find out what it feels like.
That’s my biggest fear.
The crucial difference is he was never given the “Honey Moon” all past President’s have enjoyed. I will never vote again for anyone sitting in congress now in the primaries.

Pollack in particular was a shameless anti-Trumper early on. I had direct engagements with him on Twitter where he went out of his way to defend Ben Shapiro's behavior and his own reporting.
Folks, you need to understand--and this was something I always feared the moment Breitbart was allowed into the White house--Breitbart is not the White House, never was, and mostly I suspect Bannon as being rather apathetic and useless as to the really important matters of strategy.
I can hear Bannon's voice right now, I can just imagine it, telling Trump to back off Hillary or allow all these useless NeoCons into the white house by his own recommendation.
Bannon deserves to be gone. I just hope he doesn't decide to go full NeverTrumper now that he is out of the job. He was always in with them from the beginning to begin with, despite everyone's short memory!

Not likely. The structure at Breitbart is way more professional than looney toon Glenn Beck’s site could have ever dreamed of being.
Even people on the right don’t give Breitbart any credit. I’ve been following Breitbart since it’s inception and to see it grow the way it has is a joy to behold and the culimination of Andrew’s life’s work.
No way they falter because of this. They aren’t successful because Bannon was in the White House.

I like the guy too, but he is not the president nor is he making the decisions.

This is going to be amazing.
If you are a Free Traitor™ like Rush Limbaugh, the Washington Post, the GOP Establishment and the MSM then Bannon’s departure comes as a big relief, I’m sure.
Pat Buchanan’s most recent column said there’s a civil war going on in this country and asked “Which side are you on?”.
That’s the question everyone will have to answer to from President Trump on down and I don’t like what I’m seeing now.
No question that Status Quo Establishment Free Traitors™ achieved a huge victory today. The WaPo is beside itself in glee.
Endorsing Luther Strange in Alabama is also very disturbing since Roy Moore has the track record of taking the hits from the culture warriors of the Left being removed from office as Chief Justice there twice for his refusal to comply.
