IIRC, 1962 was the year cars switched to narrow-stripe whitewalls from the wide-stripe.
Such a great time for automobiles.

But only if a 25 year old Ellie Mae helps me.
Guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to find out she’d dated Elvis.
Pearl: Jed, I heard you sold that swamp to some city slicker. How much did he pay you for it?
Jed: Twenty-five.
Pearl: Twenty-five? Why that land was worth at least a hunnerd!
Jed: Yeah, I know Pearl, but he says he’s gonna pay me in some new kinda dollars.
Pearl: Jaid, there ain’t no new kinda dollars!
Jed: Well, he said he was gonna pay me in millions dollars.
Pearl: (gasping) Millions dollars?! Jaid, you’re a millionaire.
Jed: Yeah, that’s what that feller kep’ sayin’. I din’t quite know how to take it.
Pearl: Jaid, you prolly gonna wanna move from here, now.
Jed: Yeah, he kep’ sayin that, too. Whaddya think, Pearl? Should I move?
Pearl: Well, look atchoo, Jaid. Eight miles from your nearest neighbor. Overrun with skunk, possum, bears, and wildcats. Gotta walk a 150 feet through the cold and snow to use the bathroom.
Jed: Yeah, you’re right, Pearl. A man’d be a dang fool to leave all that.
you kin smear a little molasses on the front gate and shoot flies from the front porch. Ricochet off that big rock to keep it sportin’.
“You can’t take it with you”.
My God....the first couple of seasons of Hillbillies were about as good as it gets. But after a while they ran out of ideas which,IMO,is typical of even the best shows.
Only Jethro (Max Baer Jr.) is alive today.
I haven’t seen Max in quite a few years but he still lives in the same house on Benedict Canyon.
This shack has been number 1 on my top ten list for many many years, in fact Mr P had the cutest of everything, the Reagan’s house will not be included and will be sold separately, he bought it back last year and it wasn’t incorporated in to the EState. I knew Mr P for 40 years, and have been all through this House and Property hundreds of times as well as all the others in SoCal he had, 5 houses in Malibu Colony and the Golf Course.
This is a Real Cute Place!!!
Donna Douglas (born Doris Ione Smith; September 26, 1932 January 1, 2015) was an American actress and singer, known for her role as Elly May Clampett in CBSs The Beverly Hillbillies (19621971). Following her acting career, Douglas became a real estate agent, Gospel singer, inspirational speaker, and author of books for children and adults.
Final years and death
In addition to her frequent traveling for celebrity appearances and speeches, Douglas enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends and family, and answering her fan mail.[3]
Douglas died at Baton Rouge General Hospital, aged 82, on January 1, 2015, from pancreatic cancer.[4][21][22] Her interment was in East Feliciana Parish, Louisianas Bluff Creek Cemetery.[citation needed]
Charlene Smith, Douglas niece by marriage, said that Douglas returned to live in East Baton Rouge Parish in about 2005: She was always happy, always beautiful. You always saw her with all her makeup on. She never looked her age.[23] Smith said that on Christmas 2014 Douglas gave her a Bible that she had signed. Douglas often added scriptural verses to her gifts.[23]
