And to AARP to make a buck off it.
AARP: “Gibsmedat you kids!”
Geez if you’re lonely go do something for someone. Repeat as necessary. Me? I can occupy myself 24/7/365. I could do Solitary standing on my head.
You’re right. I went to the Census data this time and found there are 121.8 million people age 45 or older. That means 35% of that population is “chronically lonely”. While that means the statistics are less “bullcrappy”, it’s still bullcrap. I wouldn’t trust ARRP as far as I could throw them.
I am lonely because my country has become communist and my church has become apostate.
“Hmmm...People 45 and over consititute 13.3% of the US population.”
You may want to re-check that figure... I’m thinking 45-54 might be 13.3% of the population, but 45 and over? 100% chance of that not being right.
Some Sundays, I like to church visit, especially the smaller classroom settings, 30 or less. The bulk of them will listen respectfully everytime someone spouts some liberal clap trap like global warming or the need to sponsor refugees from Muslim countries.
But say something conservative like support for traditional families, pro-life, etc. and they all whisper "We can't talk politics at church!"
I make a note to never, ever visit such churches again nor put a dime in their collection plate.
if a person is lonely, they are likely very self focused.
Even many elderly or disabled could find ways to get involved and interact with others if they truly wanted to connect and not want to feel lonely.
I don’t trust anything the 0CommieCare pushing AARP says.
These were the folks who also push plans to seniors, that line the pockets of DC cronies.

Harder and harder to find churches that have not, isn’t it?
Many of the elderly are not able to get out of the house. They have no car, are unable to drive and are in their 90’s.
Many of these elderly are women who have cared for children and grandchildren. They’re programed to be caregivers, to cook for and feed their families but they are no longer needed. They would love to care for children or dependents but it is no longer possible.
It would be great if there would be a way for them to continue to serve.
Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly...
