Chicken pox and herpes simplex are variations of the same virus. Shingles is herpes zoster.
Cold sores don’t come from molestation. Stay away from them nonetheless.
Several years ago I knew a family who absolutely would not allow anybody to touch their infant, especially the baby’s hands. The first thing babys do is put their hands in their mouths, so any contaminants attached to them goes right into the mouth.
I never let strangers touch my baby either. For the same reason. Friends with children with cold sores were not even allowed into my house LOL.
