We did some salvaging on decom old Navy ships in Port Orange TX when I was in the Navy and we found some WWII cig rations. I believe, if I remember right, they were green package Camels. Did we smoke them? Uh, yeah. Also the 4 packs the airlines used to offer up. Don’t remember what brand they were though.
I took up vaping. I never smoked before.
I like how I can control the nicotine level (which is set to “low”).
I’m no hippy fag, but I love that I can get the liquid in Caramel-butterscotch-vanilla flavor.
It’s yummy.
I am curious: Does the nicotine in e-cigs come from tobacco?
I understand they must isolate it and do fancy laboratory stuff to get pure nicotine, but what is the raw source?
I simply assumed they are extracting it from tobacco leaves, and thus tobacco growers are not suffering from the advent of vaping.
You don’t need as much tobacco for vaping as you do for traditional tobacco.
You can make synthetic nicotine, but that doesn’t play well to some of the target audience.
I’m happy your significant other was able to stop smoking, and that it reminds you of good childhood memories.

Disclosure: I just went down to 3mg from 6mg. 6mg was just too powerful.
But, hey, however it tastes to her, it still smells like cotton candy to me.
It was way too much but it was using the pre-made ecigs. After I woke up several mornings with horriblestomach aches I quickly cut the strength in half. I had no idea about strengths or anything then. I look at vaping as an ongoing experiment in finding the right equipment and liquids, although I am pretty well set at this point. I am at three now and pretty satisfied.

Tried, not became smokers. Smoking is a much harsher experience than vaping. Secondly it’s done by an anti-smoking group the types that have often fudged studies in the past. Finally vaping products are illegal to buy when your 18. If you’re already obtaining illegal products then moving onto to more illegal products isn’t that big of a leap.

Take a 100 people who vape. 8% quit. That’s a good thing.
However, if at the same time, E-cigs are normalized and 100 teenagers, start to vape, become addicted...then switch to cigarettes. Well, there is no gain to society.
Building a new pipeline to addiction is absurd.
I don’t know about your 8% statistic, but I am surprised that more people who have tried fake cigarettes don’t quit with them like I did. There may be something else in the cigarette smoke that is addictive like the ammonia. I still miss the smell.
Social engineering and changing cultural norms is not always a good thing. I love Lucy would be banned today because Lucy and Ricky smoked. Instead we get will and grace. A social engineering experiment designed to normalize the gay lifestyle. I’m not even against gay people. I just don’t like the mind control tricks.
The ends justify the means is not a rationale. What’s next?
There is no way on Gods green earth or in heaven that anyone could switch from vaping coconut cream pie flavored vegetable glycerin to inhaling carbon monoxide.
