In order for a body to be accountable, action must occur.
The talk show circuit, and radio talking heads, and I mean the big Republican, independent ones, are questioning Trump and the state of affairs concerning the Obamacare debacle, and the fact that for 5 out of 6 years, their primary goal in Washington, is to get re-elected. They depend on the fact that the public has a very short memory, and dither around not trying to stand out. It is correctly pointed out, over and over again, by Trump that if they are not going to vote FOR the proposed health care bill, they then need to Repeal Obamacare and work on the replacement bill for the next 2 years. Considering these words, and I take them to be wise, because, the democrats refuse to support anything, but their agenda. Two things need to happen IMO.
1. Put up to a vote, yay or nay, the currently offered health care bill. Make each senator vote up or down. ON THE RECORD. This business of holding off voting because of McCain is nonsense. If these senators are to have their feet held to the fire for re-election. We have to have their vote ON THE RECORD. That in itself, may end the issue.
2. If they vote to turn down the health care proposal, then next, IMMEDIATE step, is to REPEAL OBAMACARE, all of its tentacles, all of its funding, everything, immediately.
If No. 2 is selected. It will prompt Democrats to become part of the process, as their voters will have nothing, and they are vocal, and will brow beat their representative into action. If they do not, they will lose in election season. Same for the Republicans, no question about it.
Also to repeal, they can do it with just republicans. No need for democrat support.
Left alone, you will bankrupt the insurance agency or they will remove themselves from the Obamacare coverage business, which many already still have.
As a businessman, Trump knows that if you can't get what you want one way, you get it another. The goal is to help the majority, and consider the minority, but in all cases, make things better, more affordable, competitive, and open to all Americans.
Democrats want to, IMO, add bandages to a dead limb. Rather than heal the rest of the body. Nobody wins.
Just revert it to where it was before Obama. LEAVE HEALTH CARE ALONE. It will never be free. Insurance of any kind does not cure disease.
Only legal DC options: repeal ACA. Then, heavily modify health insurance laws to enable USA business to fill the needs. See Savage proposals or many other proposals.
