Not only does the page load up with the missing margin but not even a full page. It also takes forever for the page to load up. I think this is hardware problems. Technology is a bi*ch!
Of course there’s there are problems with FR: happens every “fundraiser”.

Only problem (if you want to call it such) is just slow page loads but I get everything when it does, sidebar included. I have .7mbs download where I live/stay so I really don’t see the difference, fast or slow.
It is completely 100% not a browser, OS, or platform issue.
It can only be one of two things:
1.) Free Republic servers
2.) ISP/Internet infrastructure issue that affects only FR servers.
I was going to post the troubleshooting I did, but cannot even see any pings earlier than today, and not even fully there.
I too only see about a half page of articles, but when I use firefox, I see the whole page. Response time has been excruciatingly slow the last several days.
That baffles me completely. It doesn’t seem to be Jim Rob, he seems fully aware that there are issues of some kind and appears to be analyzing or looking at it. Those things take time and sometimes aren’t easily solved, so if it takes a long time I can live with it.
But there seems to be some population of Freepers who think anyone making a statement about the poor performance of the website is attacking Free Republic specifically or conservatism in general somehow. They appear to be self-appointed.
I don’t get it.

Either the site runs like frozen molasses or it loads only about a third of a page at a time - when it begins doing both at once it’s going to start annoying me....
Seems like it got its mojo back.
I stll have my complete AG-344 serice uniform, my serice hat and the (not allowed to use name we called it, when there were stiil W.A.Cs).
Eh, it is OK. I really hesitated prior to posting. I knew what I might be in for.
I logged out and could read everything just fine. Logged back in and same problem. I give up.
I’ve been having the same problem for the last couple of days. Sometimes I can’t log on at all, other times it’s very slow to respond. Sometimes the side panel goes away so I can’t select which forum I wish to view.
This isn’t a complaint...it’s intended to be informative so the problem can be fixed.
Major problem has been in slow posting.
It’s not really Russian to the bottom of the thread, is it? I may utter a Volga word if there’s any more t-ruble.

I know there have been longtime calls for upgrades of code/hardware/infrastructure ... it's a little frustrating ... but no knowing expenses and budget, I really can't either criticize or praise what they're doing with what they've got.
Well that just ruined the only comment I was going to make.
Been having these problems all day long.
