Activist NFL players continue to seek social change far from the football field.

On Thursday, 13 players working toward criminal justice reform hit the phones to call members of Congress in an effort to advance Sen. Cory Booker's (D, N.J.) Police Reporting Information Data and Evidence (PRIDE) Act.

Booker re-introduced the measure in May, which would make grants available to states that both make use-of-force law enforcement policies publicly available, and also report specific information about any incident involving the shooting of a civilian by a law enforcement officer. The grants would then be used to establish reporting systems to investigate shooting incidents, spread information about use of force by and against police officers and train law enforcement agencies on use of force.

I could be mistaken but this doesn’t seem to be the correct route to acquire the police union vote should Booker become the Dem nominee for president.

There should be police accountability, but will this bill pass? Remains to be seen.

Booker is the failed Mayor of shite hole Newark and anointed Senator because NJ voters are just as bad as Californians. I have just about had it with the NFL also.
