Pro-lifers stop Planned Parenthood from opening inside high school – for now

READING, Pennsylvania, June 23, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – Massive outcry from pro-life students and activists caused a Pennsylvania school board to pull a proposal for the establishment of a Planned Parenthood-run "sexual health counseling center" inside a high school.

However, the fight isn't over. The board will likely debate the proposal at another time and vote on it in August.

The pro-abortion group AccessMatters suggested the creation of a "sexual health counseling center" inside Reading High School and run by Planned Parenthood. This center would focus "primarily [on] counseling services and condoms," according to the Reading Eagle, and "Planned Parenthood Keystone would manage daily operations."

AccessMatters runs "community-based programs" that deal with issues like "teen pregnancy prevention and education" and "LGBT health disparities." It admits that its in-school clinics funnel students to places where they can receive "sexual and reproductive health services," often a euphemism for abortion and contraception.

"Our unique position within the sexual and reproductive health care community allows us to not only have a real-time understanding of the needs of our communities, but also anticipate those needs," its website says. "This vantage point allows us to respond with programs that improve individuals’ quality of life, support them through difficult or dramatic life changes, and assist them in strengthening health promoting behaviors. Through our unique abilities to engage and empower even the hardest-to-reach populations, we are closing the gap between those with access to sexual and reproductive health and those without."

AccessMatters says its "school-based health resource centers" provide "confidential school-based places where students can receive counseling and education, condoms, and referrals to community-based providers for sexual and reproductive health services."

"If Planned Parenthood is allowed to be inside Reading High School, they are going to replicate this model in high schools – and likely middle schools – across the country. They cannot be allowed prime access to our children," said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America.

The Reading school board was scheduled to discuss the proposal on Wednesday, but it was pulled from the meeting's agenda at the last minute without notice.

"It had apparently been pulled [at the] last minute after seeing us," Michael Israel of LeHigh Valley Pro-Life Future, who was at the meeting, told LifeSiteNews. He noted that the Reading school board requires "a one-meeting pause between discussion and voting."

"Board President Abraham J. Cepeda said afterward that the item was pulled from the agenda, which was posted to the district website shortly before the meeting," the Reading Eagle reported. "He said the proposal most likely will return for discussion and a subsequent vote in August. Board members did not publicly acknowledge their audience of roughly 40 pro-life activists — many wearing bright blue shirts proclaiming, 'I am the pro-life generation' — during the meeting."

One of the people protesting the proposed Planned Parenthood was 18-year-old Olivia Clark, who graduated from a nearby high school last year and then gave birth to a son. She said her son was "saved" by the pro-life movement and that "once you choose life, you learn the meaning of love and being an adult, and you realize that's better than anything." Julia Coppa, another local 20-year-old, said Planned Parenthood makes it obvious it doesn't think highly of young people and their ability to choose what's right.

"Planned Parenthood sets the bar too low for young people by displaying a lack of confidence in us … and discouraging us from pursuing relationships that are real and lasting versus transient things," she said.

"We are so proud of the collaboration and unwavering dedication by Reading students, parents, and community leaders," said Michele Hendrickson, East Coast Regional Director for Students for Life of America. "We are hopeful that the delayed vote is a sign that the board members recognize Planned Parenthood’s damaged brand. Students know that they deserve better than Planned Parenthood, and we are calling on these board members to protect them from this disastrous proposal."

The condoms Planned Parenthood distributes get consistently terrible ratings from their users.

Former abortion workers say they created a market for abortions through sex-ed programs that encouraged promiscuity and put teen girls on low-dose, ineffective hormonal birth control.

"... a Planned Parenthood-run "sexual health counseling center" inside a high school... " That is as far as I got. ...a Planned Parenthood-run "sexual health counseling center" inside a high school ..." WHAAA?? Aww, isn't that just sweet? If PP claims 'counseling' one must translate that to mean: propagandize/brainwash/lie/cheat/and steal to accomplish their nefarious goal - the ultimate goal is to bring in more "Women's Healthcare Consumers" TO THE MARKET. A National disgrace!

Somehow Planned Parenthood would want them to get pregnant, have an abortion. Got to get parts to sell.

“Rep. Marsha Blackburn has done an outstanding job chairing the House Select Investigative Panel in the midst of vicious opposition from those involved with the Abortion Cartel,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, who also served as a Founding Board Member for the Center for Medical Progress during its undercover journalistic study of the trafficking of aborted baby remains.

In addition to the nine criminal and regulatory referrals, the Select Investigative Panel has issued 41 subpoenas – not all of which have been met with full compliance. At least two providers, LeRoy Carhart and Warren Hern, who conduct abortions through all nine months of pregnancy received subpoenas but have not yet fully complied.

According to a fact sheet released by the Select Panel, the nine criminal and regulatory referrals include:

1. The University of New Mexico was found to have violated their state’s Anatomical Gift Act by receiving tissue from a late-term abortion facility, Southwestern Women’s Options in Albuquerque, NM. The matter was referred to the New Mexico Attorney General for further investigation and prosecution.

2. After conducting a forensic analysis of the limited financial data submitted by StemExpress, the Select Panel found that it was violating federal law by profiting from the sale of aborted baby remains. Referrals were sent to the El Dorado, CA District Attorney and the U.S. Department of Justice.

3. The Panel’s investigation revealed that StemExpress and “certain abortion clinics” were violating patient privacy rights under HIPAA for financial gain. A referral was made to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

4. It was discovered that an abortion facility in Arkansas violated the law by selling aborted baby remains to StemExpress for profit. A referral was made to the Arkansas District Attorney.

5. The Panel uncovered evidence that a university in Ohio was violating state law by trafficking in aborted baby remains. An oral referral was made to the Ohio Attorney General.

6. DV Biologics, a tissue procurement company, was found to have been illegally trafficking aborted baby remains for profit and had failed to collect California sales taxes. The Orange County District Attorney has sued and the Select Panel made a supplemental referral. (Operation Rescue uncovered a quid pro quo relationship between the owners of DV Biologics and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who granted special favors to them.)

7. It was discovered that Planned Parenthood of Gulf Coast broke the law when it sold aborted baby remains for profit to the University of Texas. Operation Rescue’s Texas attorney, Briscoe Cain, received evidence of this illegal conduct through a FOIA request and referred the evidence on to investigators. The Select Panel referred the case to the Texas Attorney General.

8. Advanced Bioscience Resources was found to have profited from the sale of aborted baby remains to “various universities.” A referral was made to the Riverside, CA District Attorney.

9. The Panel’s investigation discovered that Presidential Women’s Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, violated the federal and state law though their relationship with StemExpress, which allowed it to illegally profit from the sale of aborted baby remains. The matter was referred to the Florida Attorney General.

“The Select Panel’s investigation has been worth every dime of money it has spent pursuing the truth. It has caused the break-up of several illegal aborted baby tissue trafficking schemes and launched investigations around the country,” said Newman.

The ultimate goal is to have a PP Unit in every school. Abortions can be scheduled during school hours in lieu of study hall.

THIS JUST IN----PPhood's newsest atrocity is texting children----a sex “educator” employed by Planned Parenthood—the organization that works constantly to drive a wedge between children and their parents---will be texting your children without your knowledge or consent.

When Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey held its annual national sex educators’ conference, it promoted a website pushing such resources as “Unequal Partners, Teaching about Power and Consent in Adult-Teen and Other Relationships.” Planned Parenthood is actively involved in trying to push the boundaries that separate and protect children from sexual activity.

While this particular texting program has launched in the Denver area, it may well be a test program with plans for nationwide expansion. Parents must be very vocal in their opposition to Planned Parenthood texting their children. You can monitor your children’s phones for texting by noting the program’s acronym and number. The Planned Parenthood “In Case You’re Curious” contact info is obtained by texting ICYC to 66746.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD SEXUALIZING CHILDREN-—---FODDER FOR PEDOPHILES

(CNSNews.com) – By the time they leave elementary school, children should be able to “define sexual orientation,” and by the eighth grade be able to “define emergency contraception and its use,” according to a report containing controversial new recommendations for sex education in U.S. public schools.

“Ideally, comprehensive sexuality education should start in kindergarten and continue through 12th grade,” says the “National Sexuality Education Standards” report, drawn up by a range of advocates, academics and public education officials.

The Future of Sex Education (FoSE), an initiative started by sex education advocates, developed the standards “to create a strategic plan for sexuality education policy and implementation.”

Also involved are the American School Health Association, the National Education Association Health Information Network – the non-profit arm of the nation’s largest teacher’s union, the NEA – the American Association for Health Education and the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education.

An advisory committee includes senior officials from Planned Parenthood and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

Authorities should be called---the PP types seem to enjoy having their noses up the genitals of youngsters......this is a form of pedophilia.

===========================================

I hear Big Pharma is putting out a nasal spray for genital-sniffers---the Planned Parenthood types.

Sniffing other people/s genitals to make sure women are dammed-up and protected from harmful sperm is a (cough) dire occupational hazard.

The spray, if used correctly, will ward off STD/s of the nasal passages.

IOW, they will force it through later at a closed hearing when opponents don’t have a chance to mount a defence.
