Bill Cosby's sexual assault case has ended in a mistrial.
After six days of deliberation, the seven men and five women selected to serve on the jury were unable to render a unanimous verdict on any of the three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault with which Cosby had been charged.
The comedian pleaded not guilty. Kevin R. Steel, the district attorney from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who brought the charges, has announced he will retry the case.

DA has already announced he will re-try the case.
It will be impossible to find and empanel an impartial jury now, since everyone who was not on the jury knows all the publicity surrounding the case.
Cosby is a scumbag but the case was infected with “reasonable doubt”.... although there doesn’t seem to be any real doubt about what he was doing. Administering Qualudes to women to make them pliable and controllable for sex. I would have voted to convict, for sure, but I can see how someone would keep arguing reasonable doubt.

That is my concern about this.
I learned that the tape of the early civil trial was sealed and should never have seen the light of day.
How in the world did the prosecution get to use this in the new trial?
This would be a stumbling block for me. Of course it was his word against hers and no corroborating testimony allowed. (I admit if you were allowed to use all the women who wanted to come forward it would look very bad for the guy.) But we are supposed to judge each case on its own merits.
If he was a 28 year old white male, he’d already be serving a life sentence.
No jury with a single black member will ever convict ‘America’s (rapist) Dad’. Retry and force him to sit in a courtroom for the rest of his natural life.

Only thing I’ve seen was someone on FB claiming to know that some women on the jury were hold-outs for “not guilty” which really surprises me if true (who knows?). I thought women would be more automatic for his guilt.... but it’s just a rumor at this point, anyway.
This may be the only case for which the statute of limitations has not run out, but all the other victims should get together and sue him civilly-= it would be on TV and his life would be over just as well. Dozens of victims over and over describing what happened? He may not go to jail but that would be the only level of justice that could be had.
