Look before you leap. Its an old saying that may have helped keep a Florida family safe this Memorial Day after a large alligator took up residence in their swimming pool.
Sarasota County sheriffs deputies were called Monday to a Venice, Florida home to help relocate the uninvited guest, which was measured at 7 to 8 feet long.
Gators in Florida swimming pools are not uncommon. But, this one was captured on video thrashing and rolling about as a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission trapper attempted to drag the critter out of the water.
After the trapper slipped a noose over the gators head and dragged it toward the pools steps, the animal went berserk, rolling more than a dozen times and snapping its jaws.

IchiMama! (That’s my own word.)
The gator is now gator nuggets...They are not relocated..the trappers pay is the gator...under a certain size they are relocated
public relations they say it will be relocated
As in, reassigned to a position in the luggage industry?
Now that sounds like a good honest job that needs doing. A lot of gators out there and a lot of people.
Deep fried gator tail - on a stick.
This was just up the road from us. You never know what will end up in the pool
Need to be hunted without restriction, at some point they may again need some protection but not now for sure. It will be a boon for the Florida economy and a more safe environment for toddlers and pets.
Did you see his face after all the spinning? He was like WTH, nobody survives the spin!
We saw those screened pools and lost interest in a job back there.
That got me to thinking. What's next for gator tail? (food marketing crazes, meet Jeff Dunham and Jose)
Jalapeno flavored? (on a steek)
Through a hole that was there or it made
He sure as hell didn’t want to get out of the pool.
Doesn’t the chlorine burn their eyes?
Relocated to a fry daddy in my backyard

Should be a ‘program’ to relocate the Gators in the ‘proper’ neighborhoods....
I can imagine what else slithers and creeps through that hole in that infested place. What next, a python for the kid’s pool party?
Don’t think most people would want to swim in a pool where the water has turned green instead of clear blue.
Doesnt the chlorine burn their eyes?

As green as that water is, it seems the owners don’t use chlorine.
