I studied quite a bit- coudl never master color though- and the oil paints made me sick- tried other mediums, but oil was my paint of choice- yep there is water based oils now, but they don’t work like real oils do- so i gave it up- turned to digital art some- just only dabble in it now really-
Where is it?
12 miles east of Zion National Park in southern Utah.
the tips i gave you are basic art tips but some of a few of them ost important tips you’ll learn- values are another important tip figure to ground relationship too- but these will coem later- Yuo seem to have a pretty good grasp on values too-
You have a very good sense of proportions, balance etc in your paintings- so that works in your favor- thaT is part of the battle- learnign composition- balance, subject placement etc-
There’s a ton to art- but keep at it- I’ll post more otmorrow-
Check out and sign up for wetcanvas.com- great artist website- they even have tutorials there- fantyastic site
Glad to know, thank you!
I think Chinaboy meant it took him a week to paint the painting, not that he’s been painting for a week.

Yes, you r right, it took me one week to paint, so happy for you like the paintings! Thank you!
Very nice, I like it even more than lion painting.
It’s a great place to make art. Mountain Lions too.
And lots of other wildlife. We’ve had two FReeper picnics here. Jim Rob even came.
Thank you!:)
