The Cuban Coast Guard reported, that they had captured an unmanned ship heading for the island, which is dared to be the SS Cotopaxi, a tramp steamer which vanished in December 1925 and has since been associated with the legend of the Bermuda Triangle.

The Cuban specialists detected the ship surprisingly on May 16, close to a limited military zone, west of Havana. They made numerous unsuccessful endeavors to speak with the team, lastly prepared three watch vessels to block it.

When they achieved it, they were amazed to find that the ship was really an about 100-year old steamer recognized as the Cotopaxi, a name broadly connected with the legend of the Bermuda Triangle. There was nobody on board and the ship appeared to have been surrendered for a considerable length of time, recommending this could really be the tramp vessel that vanished in 1925.

A comprehensive inquiry of the ship prompted the disclosure of the chief’s logbook. It was, surely, related with the Clinchfield Navigation Company, the proprietors of the SS Cotopaxi, yet hasn’t conveyed any sign concerning what happened to the ship in the course of the most recent 90 years.

Cuban master, Rodolfo Salvador Cruz, trusts that the chief’s logbook is credible. This report is brimming with valuable data concerning the life of the team before the ship’s vanishing, yet the sections stop all of a sudden on December 1, 1925.

On 29 November 1925, the SS Cotopaxi withdrew Charleston, South Carolina, and headed towards Havana, Cuba. The ship had a group of 32 men, under the summon of Captain W. J. Meyer, and was conveying a payload of 2340 tons of coal. It was accounted for missing two days after the fact, and was incomprehensible for very nearly 90 years.

The Vice President of Council of Ministers, General Abelardo Colomé, declared that the Cuban experts would lead an intensive examination to explain the secret of the ship’s vanishing and return.

“It is critical for us to comprehend what happened” says General Colomé. “Such episodes could be truly terrible for our economy, so need to ensure that this sort of vanishing doesn’t occur once more. The time has come to fathom the riddle of the Bermuda Triangle, for the last time.”

The Bermuda Triangle is an approximately characterized locale covering the territory between Miami, Puerto Rico and Bermuda, where many ships and planes have vanished under puzzling conditions.

Pop culture has ascribed a large number of the vanishings to paranormal and heavenly marvels, or to the movement of extraterrestrial creatures..

One clarification, even sticks the fault on extra innovation from the legendary lost landmass of Atlantis.

Regardless of the ubiquity of all these unusual speculations, most researchers don’t perceive the presence of the Bermuda Triangle, and accuse human slip-ups and regular marvels for the vanishings.

The baffling return of the SS Cotopaxi has, in any case, as of now produced a considerable measure of enthusiasm for established researchers and could push a few specialists to alter their opinion regarding the matter.

It really does not look like the ship (in the pix) is carrying much weight. How it is still afloat with so much of its bow missing is hard to ummm....fathom.

Uh, if that’s the ship, it’s been run aground for a long time.

Note the water line stain and the slant of it against the ship.

OK, this is the second article I’ve seen mentioning the long debunked BERMUDA TRIANGLE. Is some new movie coming out that needs this publicity?

NEVER, EVER use SNOPEs to check your facts. This might well be a BS click-bait article. But SNOPES is NOT the source that you should use to validate it.

The vessel in that photo looks to be aground plus she has no bow - hasn’t floated in a long long time.

I’ve seen ships in worse shape only 20-30 years old. I would like to know what paint they used on the house and stack. This, if true, is amazing.

Hate to agree with Snopes, but definitely a hoax (either that or it’s proof that everything that has disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle during the last century was really hijacked by Cubans and has been kept in a warehouse down there all these years!).
