Yeah back then things were different, no one checked blood before it was transfused into people..I had a blood transfusion 10 years ago and still worry about it, even though I know it was safe and no longer have to worry about things like that happening but its still scary.
For a while we had the Hollycrowd doing commercials that HIV meds were 69 cents a day, less than a pack of gum, so please donate to xyz. And besides, doesn’t that HIV person understand that he’s social justice obligated to help more unfortunate HIV persons by paying more for his own meds? That’s a very important statement.....this has to be done in phases or the entire boat will flip and people will die. Also Health care providers have already gone through drastic changes just to adapt to Obamacare...and expense....to jolt them too hard would upset their boats as well..it must be done in phases.

I have had continuous Health Insurance Coverage since I was 18 Years Old. Never saw a Doctor until I was in my mid 30’s.
My Parents taught me to be responsible and to prioritize. Having Health Insurance was more important than spending that same money on trivial things.
Eleven years ago at age 52 I was Diagnosed with Leukemia.
I know people who never paid a dime for Health Insurance (distant Relatives) and when they ended up with Cancer they were “retroactively’ given Coverage through Obamacare.
Meanwhile, I’m the Idiot who paid and paid for Decades before I ever used my Health Insurance Benefits while now getting the same level of care they are. In fact, their Cancer Treatments were more expensive than mine.
My Late Mother told me when I was a kid that you help people who CAN’T help themselves, not People who WON’T help themselves.
She would be burned at the Stake for daring to say that nowadays around certain Victim Groups, AKA Democrats.

As I understand the plan this first phase is best handled by reconciliation. Phase 2 is a series of EO's. Phase 3 is another bill that does NOT require 60 votes.
