Songs that drone on and on aren’t always a bad thing.

Music lovers are increasingly gravitating toward ambient music — the atmospheric and often repetitive niche genre favored by audio nerds — and attending concerts that go on for many hours.

I remember going to some art exhibition in NYC during the 90s. A large dance hall type room was filled with ambient music being played by a bunch of geeks. There is some person on YouTube has produce audio of 12 continuous hours of background ambient sounds from famous Sci-Fi works. My favorite is Decker's apartment from "Blade Runner".

Thanks for posting. I have discovered 60’s Exotica, kind of a tropical tiki ambient jazz, which is nice over a mai tai or an aku aku.

Except for a couple of talk radio shows, I listen most of the day to online radio stations that play “chill” music. Channels from all over the world with many variations in content.

Great for concentration, mood and spirit.

One of my favorites: Hollan Holmes: http://www.hollanholmesmusic.com/

I think his first album is still his best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_pP2iOzR3k&list=PLe9-kwq92sRKpl-nSJaOVgKqipkJ-CjYk

Same here. I mostly use iTunes internet radio and youtube. Are there better sources for ambient or ‘international?’

Friend, can you post links to the interesting online stations you have found? I also enjoy ambient, chill, trance but am limited to pandora. Would love be to find a few more stations.
