Why do they need your occupation on a fishing license in the first place? The only purpose of a fishing license is proof that you paid your fees to the Fish&Game department.
A college professor should be smart enough to not go to Wal Mart for a fishing license.
So what professor get over it, another lib trying to get a payday suing somebody.
What does profession have to do with a fishing license? Why would they lost that? Retired cats can’t fish? Anyway, he should fish free on Wal-Mart for the year.
I would have more respect for him as a toilet cleaner than a professor. At least the toilet cleaner serves a useful purpose.
Who would ever whip out a fishing license and show it to anyone but a game and fish officer ? Been fishing 50 years and only remember 4-5 times I ever showed it to anyone. His making it public in his work setting kinda indicates he knew what was on it and needed a show-n-tell incident in order to show some evidence of punitive harm {for a lawsuit) to his psyche in having co-worker see his shame perpetrated by the mega corp wallyworld.
why is it montana’s business what one does in order to issue a fishing license? occupation should not matter.
I guess he’s an adjunct fisherman.
That's a shame. This is one of those stories that should be true.
And he complains about it?
Some people!
I have never had a state employee complain when I put down, "Piano player in whore house" as their employment.
They knew I was trying to preserve their dignity.
The ACLU looks down on people who clean toilets?
I went into Arby’s, where they print your name on the receipt. I told them my nickname. When the order came up, the manager wouldn’t call it out (Bigmak).
The next time I went there, I tried a new name, Stuart Pud. I told the cashier he could shorten the first name to Stu. He printed the receipt (I still have it), and they called out “Stu Pud”.
Hmmmm, maybe I can make a case out of this....
More respectable position than professor, especially these days.
I also think the DFW should ask some hard questions of Wal-Mart. For example, just how much revenue do you generate acting as an agent for the state? How much money do you make selling items incidental to fishing that you wouldn’t if people weren’t also purchasing licenses there? I would also ask anyone on this forum what they would think if the game warden was checking their license and asked, “So where do you clean toilets? What do you mean you don’t - is this a forged license? You are being detained until I complete my investigation.”
I am self employed. I always introduce myself as a janitor. Weeds out the gold diggers quick.
Bozeman is a Peoples’ Republic and there are “minority” employees at the Walmart. The question is why is occupation on the license at all?
If it’s a fraud trying to scam Wal-Mart, he should be sentenced to cleaning toilets for a year!
Good thing your name isn’t Michael Hunt.
Did he buy a Resident or Nonresident license?
WalMart would have the paper application on file, so this guy could be in a load of trouble if WalMart decides to sue him.
What discipline is technology edumacation anyway?
