This messes with the fundamental structure of the game.
The argument is that nobody wants to watch 18-inning games. But no baseball fan I know objects to doing it.
Baseball should be timed like football. LOL
There is no tying in baseball just like their is no crying in baseball
Joel must be running out of ideas.
stop fixing baseball. some people won’t be happy until it’s the ridiculous spectacle the the nfl has become.
I bet the author wears pussy hats.
Everyone gets a trophy?
Pink hat guy
I agree, no, no, no. Problem is I can see the MLBPA being all for this.

Let me see...we are supposed to care what this person thinks. Why?
NEVER!
Really there should be no winners or losers either. Aren’t we all winners, really. All baseball players should get a game ball and a snack bar ticket at the end of every game.
LEAVE THE GAME ALONE before you ruin it. If you want to screw up a game, screw up football.
And for all that is holy don’t even think of bringing shootouts to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
I’m pretty sure there are problems in the world less important than this one, I just can’t think of any right now. They’re just going to over regulate all sports like they did NASCAR. Who ever heard of time outs in motor racing.
Okay. So should the NBA, College basketball, PeeWee basketball, boxing, soccer, football, badminton, boxing, and husband and wife arguments.
No ties in baseball. I would prefer expanding the roster to 26-28 players, or allowing it conditionally, like when postponements force double headers.
Better than allowing ties, but still not desirable; postponing a game after x innings, and finishing it on another day when the two teams play in the same ballpark.
Better yet, leave things alone. Part of the problem is teams want to have pitching specialists: pitchers who will only be used in the 7th, 8th or 9th inning.
Bear Byrant: A tie is like kissing your sister.
Ties suck. I vote for no ties in baseball.
There are ties in regular season MLB games.
In the All Star Game, there should be ties after nine innings.
In exhibition games, when appropriate.
In regular and post season games, no.
No ties!
No interleague games during the regular season!
No games after Halloween!
As my shooting buddy says, “it’s free baseball”!
