Chief strategist Steve Bannon was President Trump’s most inspired and best pick. If any had any doubt as to Trump’s depth of understanding  of the problems we faced by jihad terrorists and left-wing radicals, Bannon assuaged those concerns.

So this is not good. The presence of Bannon was the one person in the Trump administration those fighting in defense of freedom were counting on. The trimmers and the Islamic apologists are winning. Trump is repeating the same mistakes that Bush made.

This is a slippery slope, Mr. President once you do not want to go down. Less Jared, Mattis and McMaster, Mr. President. More Bannon. This move coupled with this: The decision to select Army Lieutenant General Herbert Raymond “H.R.” McMaster to replace retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn as national security advisor is setting into motion a cascade of other personnel decisions that, far from draining the swamp, appear to be perpetuating it.

Trump has decided to retain Yael Lempert, a controversial NSC staffer from the Obama administration. Analyst Lee Smith reported that, according to a former official in the Clinton administration, Lempert “is considered one of the harshest critics of Israel on the foreign policy far left.”

Sahar Nowrouzzadeh, who served as the NSC’s Iran director during the Obama administration, is now in charge of policy planning for Iran and the Persian Gulf at the Trump State Department. Nowrouzzadeh, whose main task at Obama’s NSC was to help broker the Iran Nuclear Deal,...

It’s pretty boring seeing the same news over and over and over and over.

So this is not good.

I have to agree, this is not good.
Seems like more establishment oriented people are being installed in the administration.

I hope President Trump has had a good reason for these personnel choices. They seem dangerous.

Agreed. Plus then we have to see the concern happen here over and over and over and over.

If Bannon is truly out and all those obamaites are in, how will freepers excuse that. I’ll check back later.

That’s easy. For at least a few, if Trump does it/did it, it has to be good ‘cause he’s a “deal maker”, “smarter than anyone else” and “playing 3D chess” and few, if any, will mention that Mattis, Kelly and McMaster were “Obama appointees” like Mike Flynn.

Cue reflexive criticism of Bannon: “Bannon must have really screwed up”; “Bannon misled Mike Pence”; “I never trusted Bannon...”
