Sources have stated that the Dallas Cowboys will release Tony Romo today, who will pursue a broadcasting career. His health seems to be the factor making this decision. Good luck, Tony

Just to sad.....Dallas should have kept him another year or 2....sad day for Dallas.
Assuming this is true, I am glad he is getting out while he can still walk. The issues he has had with his back are no small matter.
Bet he sucks at broadcasting as much as he sucks at football. Maybe he can broadcast the Mexican football games a/k/a soccer.

Sucks at football? I don’t think you know Romo. Pro Bowl, ‘06, ‘07, ‘09, and ‘14, all years when the ‘Boys went to the playoffs. Broke the ‘Boys record for most games over 300 passing yards, beating Troy’s record. Highest QB rating in the 4th quarter. Romo made the Cowboys a fantastic team.

I wish I could play football like him. I’ve watched many a game where he carried the whole team.
Its not easy being a quarterback these days. The teans just kept getting bigger and bigger. When you have 6' 6" guys that are 300 +lbs and they come running at you full force and slam you into the ground for 3 hours straight for 16 games a season it's gotta hurt. Romo is doing the right thing before he gets permanently disabled.
Concur. With the compound injuries some folks are getting, leaving at the top of your game is a wise decision. Best to Tony and I look forward to seeing him in the broadcast booth.
